What are people saying (AI review summary)? The WCPR generally receives positive feedback for its diverse facilities, including pools, gym, and various classes (with specific instructor recommendations), along with a well-regarded Enrichment Center for seniors. Patrons appreciate the value, ease of class sign-up, and some find the overall staff friendly. However, significant concerns were raised regarding lifeguard conduct, described as rude, yelling, and at times violent towards children, particularly during mandatory breaks. A specific issue highlighted a lack of transparency for paid pavilion rentals, where guests were not informed about these frequent breaks, and faced difficulties with unhelpful teenage staff and an inaccessible manager when attempting to resolve problems. Other suggestions include adding more shade around the pool.

My granddaughter loves the pool. Please provide more shady spots around the pool. Staff is very friendly
Love it but yall need train yall lifeguards how to talk to people an yelling at kids to get out standing over them to scare them out while on break isn't it, what if it was their time here and didn't know the rules.
Great place to go swimming during summer definitely would recommend 10/10
I worked here for 8 years. Great place to work. Incredible people who give a lot for the community. As a patron I’ve been going to the WCPR for 25+ years. Really a super place to workout. For the price you can’t beat it. Pool, Gym, group classes and a well equipped Wellness center. I recommend cycling classes by Katie J or Laura C. Any class by Barbara Z, Jenna, and Zumba given by Laura C B I strongly recommend the Enrichment Center for those over 55. Arts, crafts and a lot of exercise classes for any ability. Cardio Drumming is a favorite and any classes by Lynn L or Leslie R. The County has made it really easy to sign up for classes (recommended) and Pickleball. If you get there early in the morning stop and say hi to Roberta!
Paid $260 to rent out the pavilion near the pool . Once I arrived only teenager work there which is fine if they cared about their job . No one could "find" a manger nor answer any questions. I paid for 2.5 hours for the pavilion and swimming however what they do not tell you in when you book is that every 30 mins or so the life guards make all the children get out for them to take a break . That's not what I paid for and if that was listed on the page when booking I would have booked boro beach instead where the life guards rotate shifts. Also the life guards are rude . Yelled violently at my child on her birthday ( again I paid $260 for this ) to get out the pool for their break . When all they had to do was whistle and politely ask people to get out. I asked to speak to a manager when I was on site however " he was busy walking around" . Waiting on a call back doubt I will get one. I plan to call everyday until I reach a manager.
