Sprawling recreational center offering pools, a gym, plus fitness classes.
Specific information regarding the temperatures of the pools at The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Philadelphia is not publicly listed on their official website or readily available public sources.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility receives praise for its beautiful appearance, wonderful amenities, and as a great place for families to relax and enjoy recreational activities like swimming and basketball. However, there are notable criticisms regarding the gym, including many broken machines (especially treadmills), a small size, and poor enforcement of rules related to age limits and gym etiquette. Other issues include insufficient staff and supervision around the pool (with lifeguards on phones), unannounced closures, and a general sentiment that the price is not justified given these operational shortcomings.

This is a wonderful recreation and community center. Everything is great. I play basketball and swim and love it!
Not staff around pool area to many kids. One lifeguard and always on phone need to do better
Honestly if you’re just want to work out you’re better off going to planet fitness. The gym is small and there’s not many machines. Half the treadmills are broken. They randomly close for days on end and don’t show it on their website, very unprofessional and not worth it for the price.
It’s a beautiful place, the amenities are beyond enlightening. I visited with my family for a summer and we had such a good time, the building is even gorgeous, it’s a one in all place to enjoy, relax, and have a great time.
A lot of the gym equipment is broken, and some machines seem permanently out of order. The 'no kids 12 and under' rule isn’t enforced at all. Too many people show up without any gym etiquette — it feels like a Planet Fitness crowd sometimes. You’ll see people working out in bathing suits and never cleaning the machines. It’s a decent gym overall, but the broken machines and the people who are just to lazy to clean their machines make it less enjoyable.
