Public pool offering kiddie fun along with a mansion dating to 1800 and trails.
The park's two large swimming pools are fed directly by natural springs and are unheated. Consequently, the water is naturally cold, often described as very refreshing, especially on hot days, but no specific temperature is consistently provided as it varies with the spring's natural output.

Great park. Very clean. Rangers are around which is good. No dogs allowed which is sad but not all pet "parents" are great about cleaning up after their dog, so we understand the no dog rule. Wished we could have moved one of the picnic tables to use for our group but they are chained to the ground. We will bring an extra table next year for the food.
I’m an out of towner, Arrived off season but it’s a cool place with some history. The house may be closed but there’s a small building behind that plays a video, there’s picnic tables and grills that are available and a playground.
Great area to have a picnic, big or small Relax in nature just outside of town, Reno or Carson City. There's a pool and you can take a tour.
This is a beautiful mansion with a very interesting history from the height of the gold and silver mining era. Lots of Victorian furnishings, a few which are original. There is an original painting of the mansion which played an important part in its history which has been recovered. Lovely grounds and picnic tables too! Washoe County did a great job restoring the mansion and making it available to the public.
Bowers Mansion is the gem of Washoe Valley. I’ve been here many times for picnics or to hike, but this time, I finally took a tour. What a treat!! I’m so glad. The tour guide was awesome and even though I was the only one there at the time, she still gave me the full detailed tour. The inside of the home is wonderful, with rich wallpaper and filled with antique furniture. The history of the house and the family is just as fascinating! Definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful home in the Valley....
