Outdoor swimming facility with several pools for all ages, plus picnic areas.
The pools at the Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex are generally heated for comfort. The competition (lap) pool is typically maintained at approximately 80°F (26.7°C), while the recreation and play pools are usually kept at a slightly warmer 82°F (27.8°C) to ensure an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Brentwood water park elicits a mixed bag of reviews. Many visitors appreciate its cleanliness, affordability, and the variety of activities suitable for all ages, including a wading pool and provided life jackets. The food is generally liked, with the added benefit of being able to bring your own. Swimming lesson instructors are particularly praised for being respectful and patient. However, significant criticisms include a frustrating and unfair first-come, first-served table allocation system, where long-waiting guests were bypassed by others using different entry points, leading to disappointment and a request for better communication. Other major concerns involve dirty and cloudy water with debris, the allowance of inappropriate swimwear (e.g., men in underwear), and general overcrowding. Some suggest implementing adults-only times or sections to address overcrowding and improve the experience.
Reviews
Today, my family and I visited the Brentwood water park with high hopes. We arrived early, planning to secure a table through the first-come, first-served policy. I understand we didn’t make a reservation—our family had just returned from a cruise with terrible internet—but we were excited to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and hoped to set up a small area for the occasion. We waited in line for over an hour and a half. We were second in line, with at least six other families behind us. But when the park finally opened, a different booth on the other side of the entrance was used to let people in—people who had only been waiting for 10 minutes or less. As a result, they were able to rush in and take all the available tables, while those of us who had waited patiently were left with nothing. To make matters worse, the woman working the booth was not informative at all. When we asked about the process, she acted as if it wasn’t her concern and offered no guidance or explanation. It was incredibly frustrating. All I’m asking is for better communication. If there’s an honor system or multiple entry points that affect access, guests need to be told clearly from the beginning. Otherwise, it turns into an unfair and chaotic experience—especially for families just trying to make a day special for their kids.
The water is dirty— extremely cloudy and all kinds of debris in it. They allow grown men to come here in their underwear (clearly not a swim suit or swimming trunks) and say nothing about it. Overcrowded and they should really consider adding a time for adults only. Or maybe making a section for adults only.
Clean, well care place. We went for swimming lessons and we were delighted. The young instructor were very respectful, polite and had tons of patience with the kiddos.
Super fun and inexpensive place for all ages. Bring folding chairs and a blanket or something to sit on.
The facilities were clean and they had activities for all ages. If you have small children, there is a wading pool that goes to 3 ft. For adventurous kids that are not that tall, it could be a bit concerning if they cannot swim. They provide life jackets for kids and adults which is super helpful. The food was really good, however, you can also bring your own. It's a fun summer spot.
