What are people saying (AI review summary)? This public pool is generally well-regarded for its clean and spacious facilities, including locker rooms with warm showers and a useful bathing suit dryer, though some reviewers wished for more benches. Staff are consistently praised as friendly and impeccable. The pool offers wide lanes suitable for lap swimming, with an 8ft deep end. However, a significant and recurring complaint is the pool's cold temperature, which many find too chilly, especially for children. While affordable ($8/adult, $2/kid), access to features like slides is often limited by staff availability, and open/family swim times are noted as scarce. Swim lessons are highly rated for quality and teacher effectiveness but are notoriously difficult to enroll in. Paid street parking is available, and visitors are advised to bring their own towels, toiletries, and locker locks. The entrance is located at the back of the building.

Pretty good pool and the facilities are reasonably neat and clean. The staff seemed really nice as well. I was able to find paid street parking right outside on Polk. The pool itself has pretty wide lanes, I didn’t mind sharing. The deeper end is 8ft deep. The slides weren’t working today but they looked fun! Today was crowded since they had a free day because of the heat. Usually it is $8/adult for a day pass. Bring your own towels, toiletries, and a lock for the locker if you need one.
This pool is colder than most indoor pools. But for $2 per kid, it’s well worth it. The slide is only open when they have staff available to supervise, only on some Saturdays.
Lovely pool for lap swimming. Mornings are relatively quiet and the staff is friendly. Locker rooms are cleaned and spacious. Remember to bring your own lock ! Note that the pool entrance is at the back of the indicated Google maps address.
This review is only for the pool and locker rooms; I haven't used the rest of the facility. This is a nice public pool but why, why, why can't Rec and Parks keep their pools warm enough so the kids lips don't turn blue and they are shivering!? I really can't understand this. So yep: this pool, like all Rec and Parks pool is cold. At least they have warm showers in the locker room. We've started one of our kids taking lessons here and we're impressed with the quality of the classes. They keep the student to teacher ratio low and the teachers seem both well-trained to teach kids and motivated. Of course, it was nearly impossible to get into the classes. But if you get in, it's great. My other big complaint is how little family/open swim time there is at this pool (like all Rec and Park pools). We have these great facilities in SF and they are so hard to use. Very frustrating that a city like SF can't get their act together. The locker rooms are pretty good: clean and plenty of room. Could use a free more benches for sitting and putting clothes so you don't have to put things on the often-wet floor. Love the bathing suit dryer too; works like a charm.
Been to every pool in S.F. during my lifetime. If you think this pool is crowded, then you never swam Garfield or Rossi in their heyday. Not the swimmer I once was, and do most in small pool to build endurance, both swimming and walking through water. Staff is impeccable!
