Public pool featuring a 25-yard by 25-meter pool, a separate wading pool, and various water sports.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This city pool receives mixed reviews. Positively, many appreciate the friendly and 'chill' staff, easy parking, and less crowded conditions compared to other city pools. It's often easy to get a lap lane mid-day on weekdays, and the lifeguards are described as conscientious. The youth underwater hockey program is highly praised. However, there are significant areas for improvement. Concerns include only half-size lockers, low water pressure in some showers, non-working hand/hair dryers, and limited electrical outlets. Many users express frustration over the pool's two-day-a-week closure, deeming it underutilized, and its inconsistent schedule, which hinders the development of a regular swimming routine. A major point of dissatisfaction centers on adult swimming lessons, particularly with instructor Nathaniel Warren, who is criticized for being disengaged and not addressing students' specific learning goals. Supervisors are reportedly aware of these teaching deficiencies but have not taken sufficient action. The $8 fee for lap swimming is mentioned, with some finding it acceptable given the location.

Pretty good compared to all other city pools: it wasn't as crowded, parking was easy, and the staff were super chill and friendly! Several opportunities for improvement, though: 1) there are no big lockers; all are half-size 2) the water pressure in some of the showers is low 3) the hand and hair driers on the walls don't work 4) the only electrical outlet to connect your own drier is by the alley leading to the pool 5) the pool is closed two days per week (wtf? Severely underutilized). Excuses as to why this is are lame and cheap as clearly virtually all pools in the suburbs down the peninsula open 7 days per week and with much better hours 6) the schedule is as variable and chaotic as for the other city pools, so it's hard for anyone to develop a consistent lap swimming routine let alone people who work or have kids and can only exercise super early in the morning or in the evenings
$8 to lap swim. Check online calendar. Mid-day weekday it’s fairly easy to get a lane to yourself. Great staff, reasonably clean locker room with hot enough shower. Conscientious life guards. Friendly patrons. Clear pool. Yes, $8 is fine —esp in SF. Never leave anything visible in your car outside—you’re in SF.
Amazimg pool, amazing sraff, amazing junior life guards, and the most amazing youth underwater hockey program in the country...
not a good experience. I was told by one of the staff to write a complaint in order for supervisors to realize the issues. so here we go! Nathaniel Warren is the instructor on Saturday at 11:15am for the level3 adult swimming lessons. He just says a few words in the beginning about how to dive. But none of us want to learn how do dive. I want personally to improve my breast stroke and another student mentioned has problem breathing in front crawl. please don’t register students if you can’t have an instructor who can teach! I drive 30 minutes to get there! absolutely NOT recommending their classes
Saturday adult swimming lessons are terrible. Nathaniel Warren who’s the teacher just walks by the pool heads down looking at his shoes and every now and then smiles at us 3 students. When I shared I‘m trying to improve front free-style and synchronize my breathing, he said nah, you are just fine. Disclaimer, I don’t know when to breath!!! So in the past 3 sessions I ended up sticking with breast strokes which I‘ve been swimming for the past 10 years! I raised the issue to the supervisors, Danny, Stev, Mishell and Dan but was told they already know about this and there has been complaints from the staff as well but not enough to react upon!!! Very disappointing
