The FIT (Fitness & Instruction Tower) at the University of South Florida (USF) is a modern, multi-story campus recreation facility primarily focused on strength and cardio training, group fitness classes, and an indoor climbing wall. It offers a comprehensive range of fitness equipment and dedicated spaces for various workout activities, serving as a key hub for student and staff wellness on campus.
The FIT building itself does not house any swimming pools. Therefore, there are no pool temperatures available for this specific location.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This USF gym facility is generally well-received for its beautiful appearance, excellent staff, and convenient location near dining and Publix. Patrons appreciate the abundant natural light and amenities like massage chairs. However, common feedback points to its smaller size, limited machines, and a tendency to get very crowded, especially during the academic semester. A significant point of criticism was the unannounced closure of the pool due to a lack of a lifeguard, with staff providing inadequate notification and solutions.

I honestly didn’t know that this beautiful gym existed at USF. It’s kinda small but definitely serves as the a large gym. The staff are just amazing. Enjoy folks
Great facility with great staff. Does get packed especially during the semester but it’s expected with it being in a college
Small and not many machines but very nice building
loved those massage chairs. Plenty of light keeps our mind fresh and almost right next to the dining hall and publix. Could have asked a better location
No lifeguard and no notification on website or anywhere that pool wouldn’t be open November 18. Staff claimed “at some point in November” there would be pool closure. Gave no information, solutions, or alternatives. Waste of time.
