What a great place! Especially the Silver and Fit exercise classes -- so full of fun and energy. I've been coming for only 2 months and can already see the difference in my strength and flexibility. Sure wish there were more class offerings as they fill up fast! If you don't register within several minutes of the starting time for register, you're already on a waiting list.
Yoli, my silver & fit instructor has exhibited so much passion, positive energy, laughter incorporated with her personal experiences, therapeutic exercises, encouragement, help & awesome singing which so many people in her classes have enjoyed. I, personally, have benefited immensely from her classes & am very grateful. Her popularity has grown steadily that many are on the waitlist for her classes. Hopefully, more people will be able to attend her wonderful classes. I also greatly enjoy my aqua classes with Lauren & Kathy. Both instructors are excellent, fun, personable & knowledgeable. Mobility in the water is amazingly awesome. Their classes are very popular & therapeutic. I am grateful to be a member of the Kaimuki YMCA. The entire staff are so supportive, welcoming & caring people which makes an impact on how we interact with each other. Thus, I find the atmosphere here filled with wonderful and friendly people. How beautiful to see people smiling & greeting each other ❣️ Warmest mahalo to all.🌺
Kathy Lohan is an excellent instructor at te YMCA . She is a very creative instructor and really motivates her students in class. She makes exercise fun. For holidays Kathy dresses up for the occasion and makes the workout experience super fun. Thank you, Kathy for doing an excellent job.
We love the Silver & Fit class! Yoli is absolutely phenomenal! Her positive energy, warmth, and enthusiasm are truly dynamic and infectious—they lift our spirits and inspire us to move our bodies with joy and confidence. She has a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and motivated, no matter their fitness level. Her Silver & Fit classes are so popular they always fill up fast, and there’s often a long waitlist—because once you’ve experienced a class with Yoli, you won’t want to miss a single one! Although we live much closer to the downtown YMCA, we gladly hop on the highway and drive all the way to Kaimuki just so we can be part of her class. That’s how much we appreciate her and value the vibrant community she creates. Thank you, Yoli, for helping us become stronger, healthier, and happier!
My wife and I started the Silver & Fit exercise class by Yoli Del Fierro-Smedley. It's an excellent session for seniors, well-paced with movements for flexibility, strength and coordination. Also great music! Yoli makes the the class fun and an hour goes by in no time.
