What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed. While some users describe it as a 'solid' and 'lovely' L-shaped pool with varying depths (3-6 ft), basic amenities like changing rooms, showers, and a pergola, and appreciate the great views of Honolulu, others express significant dissatisfaction. Key complaints include very high annual fees for a perceived lack of amenities, frustration over being forced to pay for the pool when it was unusable for a year, and criticism of the management company. Users note that there are no lifeguards, and access is restricted to residents of four specific HOAs or their accompanied guests. Some feel the pool could look nicer and comment on the water always being cool. A safety warning is also mentioned regarding the dangerous parking lot entrance on a blind curve.

This pool lacks alot of amenities that I belive it can offer on the consideration of the very High annual fees it charges to the community. And if the fees are just going towards the water and care for the pool get rid of the whole pool.
Lovely little pool! Nothing fancy about this pool, just a solid pool that gets the job done and done well. Pool is backwards "L" shaped. There are steps on one end that lead you into the three foot area. The three foot area heads out into the four foot area at the elbow in the "L" which turna into five then six foot areas. Two small ladders built into opposite walls are in the six foot area for egress. There two changing rooms, one male and one female, each has a couple toilets too. There are three outdoor showers for use also. A pergola with covering roof is available along with a small number of full length beach chairs. No glass is allowed at the pool but you can bring food and plastic bottles as desired. The usual no running, diving and horseplay apply here. Residents must sign in, follow the rules and keep guests to a minimum. The pool is also for rent for residents who desire to do so. Renting information is located between the bathrooms/changing rooms. There are NO LIFEGUARDS at any time, you must swim at your own risk. Lastly, being 1.5 miles up the hill from the H1 there are great views of Honolulu, Diamond Head, the mountains, Ewa, Barber's Point, the ocean in general and more. Do be careful turning into and out of the parking lot onto Makakilo Dr. The entrance is located on a mostly blind curve and there are semi-serious accidents here often as people coming down the hill are going fast and cannot see around the corner. Lastly, the pool is NOT a public pool. You must be a resident of one of the four HOAs that pay dues in order to use the pool unless a due paying resident accompanies you.
Why are we being forced to pay for this when we haven't been able to use for a year now. Hawaiiana is full of crooks dont make HOAs pay for this.
I always love coming here. The pool is pretty big with a deep and shallow end. My boys love swimming here.
The pool is fine I think It can look nicer and the water always is so cool
