Reviews
I've played tennis at this club for over 6 years now (at the time of this review) based on a recommendation from a friend. I've never had a "bad" experience, unlike some of the negative reviews that I've read on here, but my experience with the club is limited to the tennis courts. The courts are always well maintained, well lit, and it never feels too hot or too cold unlike some of the other locations in NoVA. The staff always greets me with a smile when I walk in, and are always very helpful when trying to reserve a court. The only real "downside" to this place is that the courts can fill up from time to time, but that's true for any facility that provides year-round indoor tennis courts. I would definitely recommend calling ahead of time to check for court availability. Overall, if you're looking for a place to play tennis indoors, and the location works for you, I definitely recommend Burke Racquet & Swim Club.
Decent place to exercise. I came add a guest several times, and it was always a nice experience. Nothing stands out as amazing, but it is solidly good. My parents were members for several years, and happy with it.
Nice place to keep up with tennis practice during winter.
Double charged me for my sons rackets. Would not work with me to solve the issue. Did not give me any calls back, when I specifically was re-assured it would be taken care of and a call would be sent once they verified the information. Receive an e-mail a week later saying that they still cannot find a receipt of purchase in their database... How many retired moms does it take to find a receipt? Apparently too many. Never coming back here again.
This is a nice family oriented gym! We have come for swim lessons and the rock wall. The pool is always clean and there are often swim lanes open to have uninterrupted exercise. My son has really enjoyed learning how to swim at BRSC as the instructors come up with really creative games to keep him focused all while having fun at the same time. The locker rooms are clean and having towel service is a great perk. While the rock climbing area is small, there are all different levels of walls to climb. The space is definitely not like a rock climbing gym but that's not why one would go to BRSC. There is enough space for 10 people to climb at the same time. The people that manage the wall are so sweet to all the kids and are super encouraging as climbing over 20 feet high can be quite scary for kids. We will continue to come back. I definitely recommend families come check out the Burke Racquet and Swim club. You can swim, play tennis, jump on a cardio machine, get some Zumba in, lift weights, or climb their rock walls. Here, there is something for everyone!
