Well-kept public spot featuring slides, pools, splash pads and clean facilities.
Specific, consistent pool temperatures for Franklin Park Pool are generally not publicly available, as it is an outdoor, unheated facility. The water temperature typically fluctuates with the ambient air temperature and sun exposure, usually being refreshing in the summer months.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The public pool is largely praised as an "amazing," "super nice," and "spacious" facility with a "miniature resort" feel, offering a wide array of attractions for all ages, including multiple slides, splash pads, zero-entry areas, and a diving board. Reviewers consistently commend the cleanliness of the pool area and bathrooms, fair pricing, and helpful front desk and concession staff. However, significant recurring negatives include a lack of rule enforcement by lifeguards, leading to safety concerns due to children jumping in unsafe areas and throwing balls, particularly when the pool is crowded. Some reviews also noted limited concession options despite restrictions on outside food, misuse of lap lanes, and minor maintenance issues such as non-working splash pad features.

Super nice public pool! This is the perfect place for kids and adults of all ages. The property is massive, and offers multiple slides, splash pads, and swimming areas. Nice large bathrooms / changing rooms as well! The crowd was great and prices were fair, $7 for adults, $6 for kids. The property had a "miniature resort" feel, definitely didn't feel like a typical public pool. We will be back!
Amazing pool! Very clean and spacious. Lots of attractions for kids and adults. Front desk workers were lovely and very helpful with all of my needs! The concessions were also great and the employees provided an exceptional array of snacks and outstanding customer service. The manager efficiently addressed my concerns and seemed to be keeping the pool in excellent shape. The lifeguards were cool too I guess.
The pool itself is amazing. There is a zero entry area with kiddie play zones, and two toddler slides. There's a separate splash pad area, and another area with water slides and lily pad climber. The main pool has a seating area in the pool under the umbrella. Water is perfect depth for young ones to play and be able to reach the bottom. There are two lap lanes (that were utilized by kids playing, not people swimming laps), and diving board. The restrooms and general area are very clean. Snack bar consists of bagged chips and ice cream. Online it says no coolers allowed, but they were allowing people to bring them into the pool area. There were several picnic tables with umbrellas, and some lounge chairs around the perimeter of the pool. Price is very reasonable to enter. Cons (and why i rated it so low): it appears that absolutely no rules are enforced by staff other than no running. Kids were jumping off the sides of the pool, narrowly missing jumping on top of adults and other children. They would leap into the area where the seats are, and water depth is very shallow around. Its just a matter of time for an injury to occur. Kids were throwing footballs and other balls in the pool area, hitting others who were simply there to enjoy the pool. When we went it was crowded and busy, but would have been absolutely tolerable had some rules been enforced. I dont want to be that guy complaining, but when you have such a busy place, tou need to have rules and you beed to enforce them for the safety of everyone. Unless things change, I'm not sure we will be back.
Pool is a nice set up though the splash pad had a bunch of not working areas and a duct taped with a floatie on one of the sprinkler things. For a place that doesn’t allow food it was weird to see that the concession stand only sold drinks, chips, cookies and icecream. Very busy on Saturdays and they do the adult swim every 45 mins for like 5 mins it definitely needs some work but bathrooms were clean and pool area was clean
The pool itself is amazing with all it has, however, it gets too crowded. Also this year it seems like the lifeguards don't enforce anything. People shouldn't be allowed to be in the lap lanes if they aren't doing laps.
