Bought this as a gift for my 7yr old son AND WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME. Already planning our next trip back. Never felt crowded at all. Felt clean and safe. Loved the paddle board option and so many fun inflatable obstacles! Lots of laughs and fun. Very friendly staff. Can not wait to go back.
This was our favorite attraction of the year! We purchased our tickets and filled out our waivers in advance. We arrived 30 minutes early for check in and were immediately greeted by Natalia and Sara with no H. They were definitely a highlight of our day! They were so friendly and knowledgeable about River Riders and the surrounding areas, their recommendations were a huge help. We really enjoyed chatting with them. We did not have a wait to check in and get our wristbands. Before your allotted time begins you will watch a 2 minute safety video and get your life vests. Everyone is required to wear a vest which was a relief. There is a sandy beach area with tables and lounge chairs for spectators. You can rent a floating cabana, we did not but I will when we come back with a group. There were no lines or wait to get on anything. I hope they keep the cap on the number of tickets the same next year, it was perfect. The lifeguards are plentiful and attentive. They really know what they’re doing here. Your ticket gets you an hour and a half on the inflatables and paddle boards, believe me it’s quite the workout and it’s plenty of time. Yes, it is as clean as it looks and yes the water is that clean and beautiful. I would love to gatekeep this gem but it really is too beautiful not to share.
Came with my kids and we all had a blast. Make sure you complete the waivers ahead of time to speed up the check in process. The staff is nice and gets everyone moving. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time. We went mid week and all the sessions were sold out 2 days in advance.
We had such a great time at the new Harpers Ferry water park! The staff truly made the experience stand out—friendly, attentive, and super engaging. Special shoutout to Natalia and the rest of the team at the quarry who went above and beyond, even helping our kids figure out the best way to launch off the pillow (which they LOVED). From check-in to the water activities, everything was well-run and focused on making sure guests were having a great time. Only small piece of feedback: we were asked to arrive an hour before our reservation, but the safety briefing didn’t begin until about 10 minutes prior. It might be more efficient to ask guests to arrive 30 minutes early and allow life vest pickup before the safety video starts. That said, we understand parking can be tricky—especially if you’re in the lower lot—so the buffer time may be for that. We were lucky to get a spot near the main building. Also, the safety video was a little hard to hear, and the same rules were repeated once we got to the quarry. Streamlining that part could make things even smoother. Overall, an awesome experience and we’ll definitely be back!
A great experience for the family. Arrive at River Riders 1 hr before your scheduled time to check in. 15 minutes before departure you’ll watch a safety video and go over rules, get a life jacket and depart on a bus to the water park. From there, you’re free to get in the water. Please be aware of your departure time so the rest of the group isn’t waiting on a hot bus to depart back to River Riders. If you’re paying to only be an observer and not the water park, you are able to lounge on the beach area and in the water. This is very much a family activity, but has it’s dangers as it involves an 80 foot deep quarry that has a drop off close to the edge of the water….coming intoxicated will obviously get you kicked out, it isn’t safe for yourself or others in the water. You MUST wear your life jacket at all times while in the water park. 1.5 hours is more than enough time and worth every penny. Beautiful views and friendly, well trained staff. A great addition to our area. Our teens LOVED the experience and will be back!
