Community pool featuring 2 swimming lanes and no shade.
As an outdoor, seasonal public pool, the water temperature at Hearst Pool is primarily influenced by ambient weather conditions. Specific, consistently published daily temperature figures for this facility are not readily available; however, it is maintained at a comfortable temperature for recreational swimming during its operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This new public pool is largely seen as a valuable addition to the neighborhood, offering good facilities, easy parking, and a family-friendly design with zero-entry access and lap lanes. Patrons generally commend the clean changing rooms and helpful staff. However, recurring issues include a significant lack of shade and, in some cases, maintenance problems such as non-functional showers, flooded locker rooms, and an unclean pool area. There were also mentions of early closures for chemical treatments and potential crowding.

It’s fantastic that there is another public pool in DC. Facilities are good and clean, and there are two swimming lanes. I think one lane would be plenty when the pool is crowded (see picture). Also, there is no shadow whatsoever, just 4 ombrelloni.
The pool and facility is amazing, but not so for the lack of maintence. The mens showeres did not work, the locker room floor is flodded out into the lobby. At 3:30 pm they closed the pool to add chemicals instead of waiting after hours. There is dirt, leaves and trash in the pool area. Clearly a violation of health and saftey standards @DPW
Very nice public pool. We came early on a Tuesday around 9:30. The pool was relatively empty and as we were getting there the life guards removed a swimming lane to allow more room for kids to swim. They still had 3 lanes for laps. The zero entry portion of the pool is small, but great for small children. Bathrooms and changing rooms seemed well kept. The only con was the lack of shade as the day went on, but we will definitely use this pool in the future.
It's a great addition to neighborhood, so nice to have, easy parking, great staff and it's extended another few weeks because of the weather
This brand new pool is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood in a lovely setting; the baby pool is the entry point to the main pool, which makes it easier to stay with small children while watching older children as they swim. The facilities are currently in great shape, and I hope they are cared for well enough to stay that way. Our family enjoyed our visit here and will come back frequently.
