So I like all the new updates and color changes. Bathrooms still could have been better, but you can't pleasa everyone. 😅 What I ADMIRED today was the diligence and attentiveness of the life guards there today. The majority looked like high school kids, but the bunch today kept a good eye on everyone and responded quickly to every of those incidents. They were ready to execute their trainings, and i couldn't have been more proud. I haven't seen a bunch of diligent young adults like them in a while, and wanted to recognize them. They did a great job managing the minor emergencies they had today. What I did not like are the amount of irresponsible parents and young adults there today. As a first responder, I jumped up at few times too many to be comfortable going back there for a family day or to relax.
They are offering a range of aquatic options. The facility boasts both indoor and outdoor pools, though the outdoor pool and slide were closed for winter. Inside, the center caters to various needs with three pools: a baby pool perfect for the little ones, a warmer pool for relaxed swimming, and a competition pool for more serious swimmers. The presence of a diving board adds an extra layer of enjoyment. Parking is ample, making access to the center convenient and stress-free. The indoor options provided a comfortable and enjoyable swimming environment, perfect for winter visits. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Indoor Swim Center is a great destination for families and individuals seeking diverse swimming experiences.
pool was cool! they close @8 PM so come early if possible. the shower drains REALLY need some TLC, it clogs really badly and it’s gross. some folks aren’t aware that to flush the toilet you push the small button. i also recommend wetting your hair before getting in the shower. i couldn’t get rid of the chlorine smell for three days
Great classes with great instructors. The facility is old, dirty and cleaned once a day in the evening ONLY. Some of the ceiling tiles in the female bathroom have rusted and look awful. There’s always puddles of water in most sections of the locker area due to poor drainage. Major work is needed here. Please address these issues.
This place is pathetic. The staff are rude and snarky, management is belligerent and unprofessional. Life guard endangered my child and when I spoke up about it got nasty and disrespectful. My advice for any parent thinking about bringing your child here, DON'T!!! There's other places to bring your child to swim whether it be casual or lessons, might have to pay a little more, but... You won't be treated with contempt and your child won't be put in harm's Way...
