What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool is generally praised as a clean, family-friendly, and affordable option for escaping DC's summer heat, costing $7 for a day pass including parking. It's considered suitable for both families, offering life vests and friendly lifeguards, and adults seeking relaxation. The location is appreciated, and staff, particularly Sean and his team, are highly commended for their professionalism. Entry requires an ID, often specified as a DC ID. However, some visitors note it can get crowded, with chairs running out quickly due to its size. A significant negative point mentioned was a specific instance of the pool being closed during a heat emergency, attributed to government incompetence.

Great pool! I just moved here this summer, and finally understood the DC humidity. I know I definitely need a pool locally, without paying an arm and a leg. For $7 day pass and parking I love it. Very clean and family friendly. But if you're like me who just wants to relax and not be bothered by younger kids, this is a great alternative as well.
In the middle of summer during a heat emergency the incompetent government of DC has closed this pool it is not open
All you need is an ID to get in, not that big and chairs run out fast but it’s a great location and experience.
It's a great place to go with the kids. Lots of life vests if you need them. Friendly life guards. Bring DC ID. Regular safety breaks where under 18s need to come out of the water for a rest.
Sean and his team have been incredible this summer. Kind, professional and always on top of everything. Best staff DCPP has had yet!
