It serves the community with various swimming opportunities, including lap swimming, open swim sessions, and swim lessons, and is known for being an accessible and welcoming environment for all ages.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Highland Pool elicits mixed reviews. Many visitors appreciate the facility for being clean, well-maintained despite its age, and well-managed, with some finding it nostalgic. Activities like open swim (especially with diving boards), laid-back lap swim, and evening recreational swims are generally enjoyed, and lifeguards consistently receive praise for being kind and effective in managing behavior. However, a significant point of criticism is directed at the front desk staff, described as rude and unhelpful in one instance, particularly regarding inaccurate online schedules and a lack of accommodating evening options for children. Conversely, the pool is highly recommended for its lifeguarding training classes, which are noted for efficient training, knowledgeable instructors, and competent management.

Took my son for rec swim in the eveing and had a good time. There were some boys being obnoxious but the lifeguards did a good job managing them and ended up asking them to leave. I also went for lap swim myself and it was very laid back and not crowded at all. The front desk people were nice and the lifeguards were kind as well.
I visited Highland Pool this evening around 7:30 PM and was really disappointed by the experience. The staff at the front desk, a young man and woman, were quite rude and dismissive. The woman didn’t even remove her sunglasses while speaking to us, which felt quite disrespectful. It was frustrating to find that the free swim time advertised online wasn’t available, and the schedule doesn’t seem to consider kids who want to swim in the evenings. It would be so helpful if the staff could offer more welcoming and informative responses, like suggesting other pools nearby with different schedules. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I hope they can improve their customer service and communication.
Highly recommend for lifeguarding training classes, just finished a May session. The numbers of trainees were smaller than the other pools by far and rec'd efficient training. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable, fair, and thorough. Was worried about the location, but manager and staff are well-organized and competent. Thanks Kenneth & Sam!
Nice and clean. A much older facility but seems to be maintained well.
Perfect for me and my kids to do open swim. They have diving boards which my kids love. It’s clean and well managed. It’s older, but that brings on nostalgia for me having grown up swimming here myself.
