Family-oriented aquatic center featuring zero-depth pools, water slides, and a lawn area.
The Zion Park District states that the pool water at Port Shiloh Pool is maintained at a comfortable temperature for swimmers, however, specific degree measurements are not publicly specified.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Overall, Port Shiloh receives positive feedback, with many reviewers praising the nice and clean pools, great kiddie areas, and enjoyable water slides. Amenities like well-equipped locker rooms with showers and soap, and good food options such as hotdogs, are appreciated. Patrons find the admission prices affordable, especially for residents, and value the discounted entry after 3 PM, as well as the ability to bring their own lawn chairs. Staff, particularly swim instructors, are generally described as kind and great. However, a significant negative point involves one manager who was reported as rude, irrational, and demonstrating poor customer service. This manager inconsistently enforced slide height requirements without clear signage, causing distress to a child who was allowed on the slide multiple times before being abruptly turned away. While generally a fun spot, the park can get crowded at times, and there's a clear need for consistent rule enforcement and improved customer service from some management staff.

The pool is just soo . . . Sigma and the slides are just to rizzy . . . Over all I love the pool . . .
My child was having the best time going down the slide back to back until the manager told her she cannot do down the slide anymore because of height requirements. There is no sign stating you must be certain height to go down the slide but told her she must be the same height as the fence, though this is not the major problem but the fact that after letting her down about 20x and lifeguards not enforcing the rules from the beginning the manager turned my child down! Teach staff to follow and enforce the protocol before ruining what was a fun day for my child who came down very saddened that she can no longer go down after having such a fun time. When I tried to speak with the manager she was RUDE and didn't want to hear my explanation at all- she was being VERY irrational with the reason why my child couldn't go on for the 21 time after already going down 20 to begin with. NO business should have a manager with no basic customer service running their establishment. Thank you to the assistant manager who was nice and understanding but couldn't do anything of the situation because of the rude lady with a higher position
I really like and enjoy port shiloh. Their pools are really nice and the kiddie pools is great. Haven't tried their slides yet... The locker rooms have showers and even soap! Their hotdogs are good as well if you want to eat in. I really like that at 3pm the price goes down if you prefer to skip the sun... Does get crowed at times but this is natural to any place with pools. This park allows lawn chairs which is a big plus as their chairs get full quick and typical, people use them for their towels and belongings... Have always had a great time and I take my kiddo for swim classes there as well. Instructors and everyone is great there.
I don’t know why it only has 4.1 or something like that stars. It should have 5. Not 4.1 or like I said something like that. The staff are kind and the pools are always clean. I’m glad that me and my child went.
Swimming at the public pool is just not my thing but if you have children it's a great place to go they have a shallow area withwater fountains if you will but they're not really fountains though, and they have 2 water slides, and the admission is pretty cheap compared to some of the other places residents pay I think three bucks and non-residents pay 5 if I'm not mistaken
