What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Oxford Aquatic Center generally offers a variety of attractions including slides, a lazy river, a kids' water jungle gym, diving well, and swimming lanes, with many finding it fun and appreciating the clean water and diligent lifeguards who conduct swim tests for children. However, several significant issues were reported, including overflowing trash cans and a desire for better food/beverage options. More critically, one customer experienced poor communication, extended delays, and a refusal of a rain check during a lightning shutdown, compounded by perceived staff rudeness and a suspicion of manipulative tactics to avoid refunds. Another serious complaint alleged that the facility tolerates racial slurs, with staff reportedly aware but taking no action.

Pool has something for everyone. Very busy on hot day, you can bring snacks, water etc. I personally next time I go I'll bring my own chair to lay on instead of grass laying! Wonderfully fun!
We love everything about this place! Great staff, nice slides, clean water. The only knock I have on the place is the trash cans were overflowing. We told the staff and they basically said tell the life guards who were busy keeping everybody safe (witch do an excellent job btw). I would also upgrade the food and beverage choices, you would make more money with better choices. Overall, great place for family fun day at the pool.
This is how Oxford Aquatic Center treats their PAYING GUESTS. We arrived at 230 My daughter overheard them at 330 saying they wanted to send their 3pm staff home. At 4pm we were told a 30 min shut down due to lightening. OK. Np. After 430 I went to ask why the pool was not open yet and they said 503pm. At 503pm I went back up they said maybe 530 or they're not sure. I told them they're not even updating folks... Mind you... we have a 1, 2, and 3 year old. In which I explained. So at this point can I get a rain check. We had been there 1.5 hour with two 15 min mandatory breaks. Giving us 1 hour total in the water. I told them what we overheard and that if they wanted to shut down... fine, but give people a rain check. They told me no rain check according to their manager who never showed their face in which I requested to speak with. All we got were laughs and smirks when we left. Way to ruin 3 little kids pool day. And no responsible adult to oversee this behavior. This was done to get most to leave and then wait out the others forcing people no refunds the longer they sat waiting for the pool to supposedly “open”. Shame on you!!! Do better!!! I'm so sick of poor customer service and it's sadly becoming the norm. Below are pictures of the beautiful day it was they pulled this on😡😡😡
This place was really nice. They have a couple of different slides, a little lazy river, a kids' water jungle gym area, diving well, and a couple of swimming lanes for those inclined. The best thing about this place that I've never seen and we don't have in our hometown is that all kids under 14 have to be swim tested by a lifeguard and given a band to go into deep water or use the diving boards. I'm seriously not a fan of public pools because I prefer rivers, but this place would be my first choice for a public pool.
Condones racial slurs. This shouldn’t be tolerated at all and visitors should be removed but instead they got to stay. Pathetic. Chubby light brown haired front desk girl made aware and allowed it.
