I love coming to soak city! The kids like doing the water slides and I enjoy the wave pool. Getting there early is definitely recommended if you want seats. I also recommend wearing some kind of shoes in the restroom. We usually get there when they open and stay until about 4. By that time it's usually pretty packed.
RANCID! Will never be back. We won't be renewing our gold passes after this year. Sick and tired of the hours being shortened every year, but this was our first visit to Soak City and we will NEVER come back. Not only was it 2 hour wait times for their stupid slides, the place was sickening. Overrun with dead cicadas, and was anyone cleaning them up for all the money they make? No! Instead, they tell you to keep you mouth closed on their rides!!! Talk about horrendous treatment of paying customers. They could care less now. Kids were just playing with dead cicadas everywhere because they were so bored from the 2 hour waits for an 8 second slide on a THURSDAY. Employees are just as nasty as King's Island. Oh, and they'll sell you water shoes at the hefty price of 25 bucks, but don't bother to tell you that you're not allowed to use them on any rides. Isn't that sweet. My daughter was forced to remove her shorts to go down a slide, when every guy there was wearing short, a bit sexist...absolutely! Pictures of the dead cicadas floating/laying everywhere and being crushed into the ground and water everyone swims in.
Love the water park. It's a very nice park........ But....... Don't go on a Saturday! It was jam packed, elbow to elbow. I felt like I was waiting in line for the beast circa 1995, just to get a drink. After waiting 20+ minutes I'm told all of the slushy machines are down :( bummer Fortunately we have gold passes and decided to cut our losses with a truncated visit. Still got sun burned! We're looking forward to a weekday water park adventure.
This place is a lot of fun. Make sure you get there early to get a seat in the shade. Water shoes are a must. I burned the bottom of my feet because I didn’t know. The water will surely cool you off in the heat!
Always been like the "other half" of kings island to me! You can enter straight into Soak City Water Park or Kings Island and go back and forth as often as you want by train or walking. Fun & nice variety of water rides! My son and I definitely love the tube-like rides where the floor drops out from you! There are 3 side by side entangled, but the yellow one is the fastest, in my opinion, or the most exciting. I can't remember the name of those 3 rides, but they are awesome! All of the rides are rated on thrill level plus a sign will tell you how tall you have to be before getting in line. My daughter refused to leave the wave pool, but did ride a couple rides. She doesn't really like waiting in lines, so basically I was in that wave pool most of the time here this time. I must say the lifeguards truly take their job seriously, because they continuously walk side to side overlooking the crowd to ensure the safety of all the customers & kids in that wave pool. I also like how they provide life jackets for the little ones entering into the wave pool! Safe, fun, and very family friendly place to go! Similar to king Island on meal and drink plans and paying prior. Check out the Kings Island App or website for more information. Fun place for all ages! Excellent Water Park!!
