The total package- attentive lifeguards, very clean, laid back community atmosphere but the big selling point is the SHADE- by 3pm most of the pool is in shade along with lots of cool places to sit. There is sun too if you want it. The swim team warm ups in the spring are a great deal for building skills.

There aren’t enough words to describe how great this place is, regardless of what you are looking for. To start, it doesn’t take long to see that Friendly is a community that is loved by its members. Half of the people you see will tell you they have been members for life, and the newcomers will tell you how quickly they were welcomed into the community. It is one of, if not the only pool in town with so much natural shade. It keeps it much cooler on those hot days, and since the pool deck is surrounded by trees, there is always half of the deck in the sun and half in the shade so you can have your pick. There is a beautiful children’s pool area if you have little ones, as well as plenty of other kids to play with. The swim team is the best, and not just because they win championships- the coaches do a great job helping each of the kids with their technique, they teach and practice good sportsmanship, and it’s a great way for the kids to be competitive and have fun with their friends. It’s a short season, but any of the kids will tell you how much they love it and how much of an impact it has on them. If competitive swimming isn’t for you, there is plenty more to take advantage of. There are swim lessons for all levels taught by the lifeguards. Friendly is also the only summer pool to have a synchronized swimming program. The tennis team is also a fun thing for kids to do in the summer! If you like soccer, basketball, and volleyball, there are nets for those too. and clean bathrooms!!!! As great as the facilities are, the people are what makes Friendly such an amazing place. I grew up there every summer and I wouldn’t change it for a thing. As long as I continue to live in the area, I will bring my kids here and they will be second generation lifetime frogs. And a special shoutout to the incredible manager Erin, who has cultivated that place into what it is today. It wouldn’t be what it is without her. Ribbit Ribbit!!!

My family switched to Friendly Park after being members at another pool a few years ago. My husband still says it was one of the best decisions I convinced him to help make. Couldn’t be happier. My kIds love the swim team and have learned so much from the coaches and the tennis clinics. They’re also now involved with the water polo program and synchronized swimming. Two activities that never would have been available to them had we not joined. So many good things to say about Friendly Park!!

Family friendly communtiy. Parents and kids look out for each other. My kids have learned to swim here. Staff is exceptional and the snack bar has great deals.
