They focus on water safety and skill development in a fun, brightly colored, and tropical-themed environment, providing small class sizes and highly trained instructors.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Goldfish Swim School receives mixed reviews, with many parents praising the significant progress their children make in swimming skills, the engaging and fun learning environment, and the generally wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. Birthday parties are frequently highlighted as exceptional, featuring dedicated staff and well-managed, enjoyable experiences with temperature-controlled facilities. However, common criticisms include a high turnover rate among instructors, leading to inconsistency that can hinder a child's progress, and issues with customer service such as unresponsiveness. Some parents feel the service is overpriced for what's offered, citing instances where children don't receive the full class duration. A notable complaint from one specific location details alleged fraudulent billing practices, uncredited payments, undisclosed withdrawal requirements, and general mismanagement, leading to extreme frustration and slow progress for the cost.

The best birthday event for our little one. The overall experience was nothing short of amazing, largely thanks to the incredible staff. We had a lifeguard dedicated to safety, which provided immense peace of mind. But what truly set Goldfish apart was the additional staff member who got into the pool with the kids to help entertain them. This was above and beyond anything we expected and made the swimming portion of the party incredibly fun and engaging for all the little ones. The kids had an absolute blast! Plus, the water and swim room were temperature-controlled, which made the swimming much more enjoyable for everyone, especially the adults supervising. I can't recommend Goldfish Swim School enough for a birthday party. It was a stress-free, incredibly fun, and memorable day, all thanks to their exceptional service, thoughtful setup, and dedicated staff.

I need to report your location on Battleground in Greensboro. I signed up for a 6 month membership online. No notice of a 30 day withdrawal requirement was given to me online or from staff in person. I had to fight over and over on discrepancies on my account of payments not being credited appropriately or it just being missing. My experience with Goldfish Swim School has been everything within frustration. Recently he had a credit for $30 for one last class from his 6 month membership and it was taken out and billed for the following month of $120. I should not be billed monthly when he didn’t get a chance to use all his credits for my son’s 6 month membership. Leadership is using fraudulent practices at this location and they are the reason your signups are low. Mismanagement is going on and I will not be returning unfortunately due to this terrible experience! And my son’s progress was extremely slow for the amount you charge. You should be ashamed of yourselves taking advantage of loving parents! *UPDATE: they would make up responses but it still doesn’t justify the actions and the damage that was done already. Bring your child here at your own risk! I just wanted to share my story because I wish someone told me before I enrolled my child.

Goldfish Swim is the best! My kids (5 and 3 yrs old) have come such a long way with their swimming skills since starting 3 months ago . The teachers are all wonderful! We also enjoy the free family swim hours. Highly recommend!

-Instructors are Constantly leaving. My child signed up for 6 months. He is weary of new people and gets anxious. This hasn’t been the best experience with him constantly changing instructors. We prefer a male instructor as we have noticed he progresses more with one and that has been a battle in itself to find one consistently on the schedule. -They hire a bunch of teenagers and young adults who don’t really stay around too long it seems. Customer service could be much more inviting and they could answer the phones more. -Children don’t receive the full 30mins. -Space is tight to move around other children and parents when entering and leaving. -Sensor lights in changing rooms are up high. Have to be really tall or jump high to turn them on. -I do like the token concept where if you miss a class you can use the token to schedule the missed the class for another time so it doesn’t go to waste. -Kind of better off joining YMCA. They could have private lessons or group lessons for around the same price range and same amount of children in each class but will receive the full 30mins you pay for. And you can be working out during your child’s class or utilize their child care amongst other perks. And you can go to multiple YMCA locations with your membership. I took my daughter when she was young and she progressed sooner than my son is here. -I think Goldfish Swim School is overpriced for what they offer and where they lack. The concept is there but the execution is terrible.

We absolutely love this facility! It’s thoughtfully designed with children in mind, making it the perfect place for kids to learn to swim. Our children are always excited for their swim lessons, which says a lot about the engaging and fun environment. The staff and management team are incredible—warm, friendly, and always helpful. Highly recommend to any family looking for a fantastic swim program!
