Recreation facility with exercise equipment, as well as summer camps and after-school programs.
The YMCA has two distinct pools: a 25-yard main indoor pool and a warm water therapy pool. While specific numerical temperatures for the main indoor pool are not publicly provided, the therapy pool is explicitly noted for maintaining a comfortable warmer temperature, making it ideal for rehabilitation, gentle exercise, and lessons for young children.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility receives mixed reviews. Positives include friendly staff, good amenities, a clean environment, and a nice heated pool, which impressed a first-time visitor. However, significant negative feedback centers on extremely poor communication, with long delays and vague responses, particularly concerning youth sports and swim lesson inquiries. Other major issues reported include staff unprofessionalism and perceived discrimination regarding gym equipment use, unfulfilled promises in youth sports, and discomfort with overt nudity and perceived unsanitary conditions in changing rooms and spa areas. These negative experiences have led some patrons to consider canceling memberships and recommend looking elsewhere for certain services.

Had the worst experience today. The lady in the gym was rushing me on a machine just to please another couple. I was being harassed by both. She came up to me after my first set and I could notice the couple looking at her and then me. After my third set, literally not even 2 sec went by when I got done, the couple asked me how many I have left and I said one. The same lady walked up again and told me how much longer I have left. I got up and left. I wasn’t on the machine for more than 10 min. I was taking my break on each set on my phone (everyone does it) I’m not gonna sit there and look at space and I’m also not gonna start my next set after a 20 second rest. Very unprofessional. It’s like she wanted to please the couple and I felt very discriminated against. I’ve heard bad stories about the facility but I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I will be canceling the family membership I have with them and will also tell people about my experience.
Have called multiple times to get a hold of youth sports director with no luck. No communication from coach either about practices or anything. Coach does not even coach the kids this is when there are trying to learn the fundamentals.Paid $110 dollars and still my child hasn’t received his hat which said league provides. Do not sign your child up waste of money.
Hit the Y today for a birthday party. Never been here before. Super nice and clean smellin. Nice big pool in a heated room... Definitely interested in a membership now for sure.
Nobody knows, nobody cares, nobody has a desire to find out...but they deliver it with a smile. The staff is friendly when you're talking to them. However, communication is lacking and everyone says, "I don't know, someone else is in charge of that, I'll have them contact you..." Nobody returns calls or messages. It took 9 months to get information on swim lessons. After months of being told, "I'll have the person in charge reach out to you," we finally got an email. We had asked lots of questions--who to contact, how to register, the dates, how long the lessons took, how far in advance we needed to book, age limits, requirements, etc... The email we received from the "Swim manager" said, "Yes, we offer swim lessons." That's it. No answers, no desire to sell a service, just the least information available. Within an hour, we replied asking for all the details and information. About a week or more later, we got another reply, "Yes, swim lessons are in the spring and you have to complete a registration form." Immediately, we asked to be contacted and sent the form and all the information. Again, a week or more went by before getting only one question answered. It took months of getting only one vague answer every 7-14 days before we could piece together enough information to figure out where to start. Even down to the day of the first lesson, we still couldn't get any answer about what to do with the registration form once we filled it out. The lessons were mediocre our kids, the water was cold, even according the instructor and there was absolutely no interest in trying to make a good impression. All the staff we saw were friendly and kind, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere for swim lessons at least. It's too much work getting any response from anyone who knows anything about them.
I really enjoy all of the staff and the amenities are outstanding. I do have a huge gripe about the overt nakedness in the changing rooms on the spa side of the men's room. Common decency should be the rule. Walking around completely naked without wrapping a towel is an unnecessary visual assault. Why is the whirlpool/hottub treated like a bathtub?!? Have these hairy dudes put a suit on. It's not a hottub it's a bowl of public hair soup. You don't allow naked people in the swimming pool! Why allow it in a sauna. It's plain unsanitary.
