What are people saying (AI review summary)? The natatorium is a modern, heated, year-round facility featuring regulation swim lanes, a warm-down pool, and a diving side, located on a high school campus. It is well-regarded for hosting regional swim meets, accommodating numerous teams, coaches, and families, and offers excellent lighting for sports photographers. Public lap swim is available during specific morning hours (e.g., M-F 9:30-11:30 AM and 6-9 AM) for a reasonable fee. However, the venue has limited and elevated bleacher seating, which can be restrictive for spectators, and there have been issues with crowd control, especially during inclement weather when indoor shelter is inadequate. Additionally, occasional mechanical and chemical problems mean it's advisable to call ahead for public lap swim.
Reviews
Awesome venue here, heated and year round swimming. Regulation swim lanes for a reasonable price. From 930A-1130A M-F.
Went to a Regional swim meet here. It's on a high school campus near the football stadium. Nice building with swimming pools, restrooms, guest seating, and lobby area. Able to accommodate several teams, coaches, judges, and family's from several schools! Everyone was nice and the meet was ran very well!
The natatorium is relatively new and is used primarily by the Friendswood HS. The Sharks swim team also uses it during after school hours. It is opened to the public for lap swim from 6-9 AM for $3 or a 20 swim pass for $40. It has a warm down pool and a diving side. The bleacher area is limited, so not a place that allows parents to set up inside during swim meets. It does have mechanical and chemical issues at times, so calling ahead for lap swim is recommended
Was there for swim meet. Although the announcer asked spectators to only watch THEIR swimmer (then leave) spectators did not leave. There was also no place for anyone to go when it began to rain, thunder and lightning...... Understand no control of weather conditions it was dangerous to stay outside.. Need a better plan for crowd control. There were tempers flaring.
Yes, seating is elevated and limited, but for a HS sports photographer it has the best lighting among all the local high school pools.
