I had a fantastic time at Schlitterbahn Galveston! The park is clean, well-maintained, and the rides are a blast — perfect for all ages. The staff were especially friendly and helpful throughout the day. One young woman in particular stood out — she made sure we were secured properly on our floats and helped prep us for a fun and safe journey through the water. Her attention to detail and positive attitude really enhanced our experience. Schlitterbahn Galveston is definitely a great place for a fun day with family or friends. Highly recommend

I had an amazing time at Schlitterbahn — it was romantic, fun for the kids, and easy to swim, walk around, and grab a drink. The vibe was great and the park is well laid out for a full day of fun. That said… the prices are insane. Walk-in tickets were super high, and even buying online only saved a little. $20 just for a locker, plus paid parking? It adds up fast. If you’re planning to visit more than once, get the summer pass — it’ll pay for itself. Overall, I still really loved the experience, but be ready to spend a lot if you go.

I’m deeply disappointed in what this park has become. I used to enjoy Schlitterbahn Galveston many years ago when it felt like a well-run, family-friendly destination. Sadly, it has deteriorated into a frustrating mess, clearly suffering from terrible management and complete lack of care for the guest experience. Let’s start with the ridiculous waiver policy. Anyone 18 and over is required to sign a waiver — not at the entrance, not online, but inside the park, after you’ve already waited to get in. You then have to stand in yet another unnecessary line, wasting time on something that should be easily handled with a digital signature or at the front gate. It’s outdated, inefficient, and honestly insulting. Now about the employees — most of them seemed completely disinterested, bored, and unaware of how to handle crowds or keep things moving. The lines were brutally long and slow, and it was clear that with a bit of effort and basic staff coordination, things could have flowed much more smoothly. Instead, everything felt like chaos run by people who just didn’t care. This park is the textbook example of poor leadership. It’s like no one at the top is paying attention — and the guests are the ones paying the price (literally and figuratively). And finally, the food. Don’t even get me started. Overpriced, bland, and served with the same indifference as everything else. It honestly felt like an afterthought. I won’t be coming back. Schlitterbahn Galveston used to mean something — now it’s just another poorly managed, overpriced theme park that takes your money and offers very little in return.

The park was clean and the staff was friendly. We rented a cabana and have no real complaints about general staff and services. We did have an instance with people skipping the line and the staff didn't do anything about it even though some families waited up to 45 mins to get a tube for the larger water roller coaster.

It was not my first visit to this location but this visit was truly disappointing. Several attractions were closed and the park smelled of sewage water from those attractions. One member of our group was bitten by ants because they held on to a post that was meant to be a rail coming down a step. You could see dirt and algae on the bottom of the lazy river. The staff was rude and disrespectful. By the end of our trip with a party of four, three of us were sick with a stomach virus and we saw a sewer and plumbing truck leaving the park.
