What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews reveal a mix of significant community concerns and positive aspects of the facilities. Major issues include excessive speeding on Norwich Street by both cars and buses, posing a safety risk to children, with calls for speed bumps, more signs, and surveillance. Residents also expressed dissatisfaction with a lack of community communication, including no regular papers or updates after meetings, and other nuisance issues like early morning lawn mowing and year-round holiday lights. There's a sentiment that community dues should cover more than just landscaping and pool maintenance. Regarding the pool, while generally described as clean, nice, family-friendly, and with responsible staff, specific issues included inaccurate online opening/closing times and, on at least one occasion, an insufficient number of lifeguards. One review from 2019 noted the pool was cloudy 40% of the time. On the positive side, the pool was often appreciated for its cleanliness and family-friendly atmosphere, and the tennis courts and dog park received praise.

Since the city decided to start more traffic in this area, people drive very fast down Norwich street. I have reported to the school district about how fast busses are traveling on this street and nothing has been done, people mowing their lawn all hours in the mornings, no updates as to what is going on in the community even after your townhouse meetings, no community papers every month, some people can just keep their Christmas lights up year round for years. Our dues should not only be about landscaping and keeping the pool clean. We need a community news paper like we use to have, asking the city for bumpers on the most traveled streets because people are flying down our streets, and we have school children walking trying to get home. If people in cars don't stop traveling so fast somebody may get hurt. My thoughts only. Put up more signs and let people know we have surveillance here, so maybe it will deter them from driving so fast.
The pool was clean and the area was nice, but the opening and closing times are inaccurate online and there weren't enough lifeguards scheduled for the pool to be used after more people arrived. Only one was present when there were apparently supposed to be three. This was well after it opened too, so there would of course be more people.
2019 summer. Staff was young but responsible. good personality and great care for young swimmers. pool was cloudy 40% of time visite .
Very family friendly pool for Southdown residents and their guests. Lifeguards always in attendance who keep the pool safe and clean.
