What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Gladstone Community Pool is a recently renovated outdoor facility, widely praised for its spacious layout and numerous attractions including two water slides, a diving board, a rock climbing wall, a splash pad, and dedicated areas for shallow, deep, and lap swimming. Visitors appreciate the reasonable rates, ample and friendly lifeguard staff, and the option to bring their own food and drinks, despite an extensive but sometimes overpriced snack bar. Facilities include large restrooms with showers and changing stalls, numerous lounge chairs, and ample parking. While generally considered clean and well-maintained, one review cited very dirty water after a busy weekend. Minor drawbacks include limited ADA accessibility, and conflicting reports on locker availability (with one detailed review stating no lockers and recommending bringing a bag, while another mentions they are provided). Updates to the women's changing room reportedly reduced space and shower count.

My family of 6 has a summer swimming pass this year. We are so happy to come here & swim. The lifeguards and staff are helpful and friendly. We love coming here each summer with our 4 kids. The pool is always clean and cold for a nice swim in the hot weather.
Pristine and large outdoor community pool located at Holmes and 70th, just north of the Gladstone Community Center, directly across from the Gladstone Police department and Gladstone City Hall. Sun-Mon 12-7 Fri/Sat 12-8 The entrance is in the front of the building at the top of stairs with a brown cupula facing west towards the Gladstone Police department. Nominal amounts of parking available in front of the pool, large parking available by turning at the fourway stop into a large parking lot situated between the community outdoor pool and the community center. Very reasonable season membership rates, current 2023 daily rates are $8, $5 after 5, and children under three are free. Spacious changing rooms with separate stalled shower and toilet facilities, but no lockers. Just take your stuff in a bag and find a place. I've heard of no issues with anyone's belongings. extensive snack bar with shaded eating area, and hundreds of white lounge chairs surrounding in both shade and sun. Expansive splash zone on concrete, huge shallow end with both zero entry and stair options, wall divider with a large free swim deep end, and three lap lanes. Two tubular water slides of varying sizes, one is quite large, one low diving board, and a rock climbing wall for jumping off into deeper water. All areas are zoned off safely, including splash zones, with buoy ropes and double lane lines. Ample amount of lifeguards with visible red swimwear and whistles, seem to change posts every 15-30 minutes. My only ding is that it is not especially ADA friendly. Wheelchair accessibility would be difficult, there is only one ADA changing area, however, the others are so small that if you are actually trying to change, you almost have to use that one. I am visually impaired and I have some crazy, embarrassing stories. Some of this is to be expected, but there is always an amount of nervousness due to multiple obstacles and inevitably striking kids that magically appear in lap lane. Everybody's been pretty cool about it when I ask for help, so honestly, not that big an issue.
First time visiting, and the second visit I bought a family pass for the outdoor pool this year. This facility has been renovated in the last 2-3 years, so I'm told! Which is great because it's very well accomodating! The layout is perfect. This place appears packed, yet there is so much space that everyone has a great time. They have 2 water slides, a diving board, swim meet platforms, a rock climbing wall and a really fun splash pad. They have a small menu, which is basically all junk food and they are asking more than it's worth in my opinion, but you can bring your own food and drinks no problem and eat in the food court area or elsewhere. Everyone is pretty clean about the privilege. They also provide lockers; not sure if you bring your own lock or not, but it's available to you. They also have large restrooms with plenty of stalls and showers to rinse or clean yourself. I recommend it!
This pool just opened for the 2025 year, I think Friday May 30th,and I went swimming today June 1st and it was very dirty. I know it was very busy this weekend, but it was very very dirty while doing laps. Otherwise I love coming here to swim!
Nice community pool and that has recently updated some of the facility. The locker rooms have had a refresh and look very nice. They took out a lot of space in the women's and only have one shower now. But it's nice enough. The snack bar has a new bar with stools to sit at. The entrance moved around the corner.
