Went today to enjoy the splash pad. Was supposed to open at 10. Waited 15 minutes but the water never came on. Tried asking a maintenance worker and calling but no luck.

Great park!!! I'm there quite a but and its always very clean. Parents are always very nice and everyone watch's out for all the kids. My god daughter is 2 and she always makes new friends, and for the most part all the kids are polite and well behaved.

The park is great! Huge open spaces. Lots of trees. Nice play equipment (3 different playgrounds) and splash area. The city does a great job keeping this place pretty clean. The people who come to the park are a different story. Dirty. Trashy. Filthy. We can't have anything nice in Independence. These people are just extremely lazy! That being said... Come check this park out! Just keep on eye out on your children at all times. Use common sense and have a fun afternoon splashing and playing. Don't forget to stop by Hi-Boy (up the street) for lunch! Best burgers and shakes in Independence! 🍔🍔🍔

Lots of variety for play equipment, even for special needs kids. Great splash pad with 3 different activity areas. There's a small baseball diamond and tennis courts nearby.
