Public swimming pool with a climbing wall, diving boards, and a pirate ship, plus a slide.
Specific, fixed pool temperatures for the Woodland Aquatic Center are not typically published online. However, as a public recreational facility, its pools are generally maintained at a comfortable swimming temperature suitable for general public use throughout its operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool facility are mixed. Positive aspects highlight it as a great place for kids of all ages and swim levels, with attractions like a pirate ship, slides, diving board, and rock wall. Lifeguards are frequently praised for their exceptional attentiveness and quick response in emergencies. The concession stand food, including mini pizzas, burgers, nuggets, and fries, is generally considered solid and tasty. Some visitors enjoyed the pool day, finding the water temperature pleasant and the experience fun, with activities like pickleball also available. However, several significant criticisms were raised. Concerns include the main 11-foot pool being restricted to diving and the climbing wall without clear signage, preventing free swimming. There were complaints about early pool closures, specifically at the Woodland location, attributed to lifeguard shortages, which disappointed families, especially those without alternative transportation. A serious accusation of racial profiling was made by one visitor, who reported police involvement for no reason and labeled the manager and a head worker as racist. Minor annoyances included lifeguards randomly blowing whistles and requiring everyone to exit the pool to cool off, as well as observations of hair and bugs in the water. One positive experience was cut short due to thunder.

The big pool is only for diving and climbing wall apparently, no signs posted about that at all, very disappointing can’t even free swim in the 11 foot pool
Such a great time! Lots to do for kids of all ages and swim skill level. Our littles enjoyed the pirate ship and shallow areas, as well as the slides. For the diving board and rock wall, make sure your kids are strong swimmers, as its 11 feet deep and no floatation devices are allowed. The lifeguards are on the ball. One child struggled to come up after the slide and one lifeguard was in the water before I could turn my head to see what the air horn was for, then six more came running. The food at the concession stand was solid. The pizzas are mini pizzas and not slices, they were pretty good but definitely not filling for an adult. We also ordered burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries and they were all very tasty. Wish we could have stayed longer, unfortunately the thunder didn't let us but the next time we're back in Lexington, we will for sure make a stop here again!
Woodland pool closed early last year and they're doing it this year. Saying shortage of lifeguard's WHY don't they hire accordingly? its disappointing my youngest kids and I don't get to enjoy the pool til labor day. woodland is our biggest enjoyment ! We don't own a car and can't drive to other pools which btw are on restricted hours til the end . Please do better for us next year 🙏🏽
Was racially profiled against and had the cops called on me for NOOOOOO reason. For an interaction that had absolutely NOTHING to do with me. I had PLENTY of witnesses that walked up to me apologizing on the behalf of the workers because it was terrible and they knew I did absolutely nothing. If you are a person of color please don't support the establishment anymore the manager and her head worker are both racist. I wish I could've gotten the cops name as well that never even gave me as chance to speak and let them know they had the wrong person but I guess in their eyes I fit the description. I WILL NEVER be back so there will be won't be a second time to embarrass me like I'm a criminal or a thug. Wish I could leave ZERO stores. Educate yourself and Do better management.
i went here with my boyfriend and he enjoyed it so i would call it a success. it was a good pool day. the water was not too cold. the only annoying part is that the lifegaurds blow their whistles randomly and require everyone to get out of the pool just so they can cool off 😳😡😫😤☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ but i mean that’s not a big deal. we liked to swim in the sunny parts of the water. it was fun lowkey. high key. it was fun and we played pickleball beforehand. there was def some hair in that pool. and some bugs!!!!! my boyfriend climbed the rock wall yay but his fingers hurt
