We’ve had a wonderful experience with our daughter’s swim school. When she first joined, she was a bit nervous around water, but thanks to the patient and encouraging instructors, she quickly gained confidence. The teachers are kind, professional, and really know how to work with young children. The classes are well-structured and fun, and we’ve noticed real progress in her swimming skills every week. Most importantly, she enjoys coming to class and feels proud of herself after each lesson. The facility is clean and safe, and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. We’re really grateful to the school for helping our daughter develop such an important life skill in such a positive environment.
We’ve had a good experience here. The instructors are patient, professional, and very encouraging. My child has become much more confident in the water. Special thanks to Chrysler for improving my daughter’s swimming skill
This swim program works! 8 months ago, at almost 3 years old, my daughter started classes. She has since graduated 2 levels and is now learning her first strokes. Her progression has been amazing to behold. She loves her teacher Ms Chrysler (PS 16 location in Jersey City) and is always excited to go to class. They have a way to convince even the most hesitant little swimmers to get in the pool. If you have the time and resources and your child is into it, highly recommend upping to 2 classes a week. It’s so worth it to accelerate learning how to be safe in the water!
I had enrolled in adult swimming lessons at British Swim School PS16 for about seven months before stopping this month. I must say that their adult programs lack a well-structured curriculum. While the instructors are likely well-equipped and trained to teach kids, I’ve personally encountered at least three to four adult students who felt they weren’t getting their money’s worth from the classes. In my opinion, the facility is too small for the number of students who attend classes. I struggled to learn freestyle for seven months! However, I found Alex at PS16 to be the best instructor. He was incredibly helpful in finally helping me understand freestyle and diligently identified the flaws in my technique, providing me with valuable insights. Clearly there’s a lack of proper curriculum and a structured framework for teaching. Not all instructors are effective, unless they have a plan and they understand your pain points and have spent considerable time with you. On a positive note, Alex came to each session with a plan, which was very helpful for me and I sincerely appreciate it. I’m only giving this place a 4/5 rating because of Alex and the other staff who were incredibly kind and helpful. Apart from that, the facility itself is not worth the price they charge.
Great place for kids to learn swimming. My son progressed from Minnow to Shark2 at this location. The instructors are great and very patient with the kids. Also accommodating and flexible with scheduling classes.
