DreamWorks Water Park at American Dream is a great spot for a family day! The park is big enough with plenty of slides and attractions that kept both the kids and adults entertained. We had a blast! I definitely recommend renting a loft or cabana—especially if you have a baby or you're coming with another family. It gives you a nice space to relax and take breaks. One tip: wear water shoes! The floor can get really slippery, though they’ve added anti-slip pads in some areas to help. Also, even though the website says no outside food or drinks, we noticed no one was checking or enforcing it. I’m giving it 4 stars because the baby changing station is poorly placed. It’s right in the hallway near the lockers, where people constantly pass by or even use it as a table. I had to wait for others to move just to change my baby, and honestly, babies deserve more privacy for diaper changes. Overall, still a fun water park and worth visiting!
This was our first visit to the American dream. We bought the tickets online and for the parking as well. Unfortunately none of the tickets were transferred to my phone. Service goes through a link website that was having issues. Had to check with the front office and they cleared us to go in. We still could not get the parking pass and the girl in the front office said she would send in over to my email again. But it never was received. Before we left the park the office gave us a QR code receipt. They did not explain that you had to use it when you actually exit the parking lot. We were trying to use it at the machines you run your ticket through to pay inside the mall. Confusing if you have never been in this the mall here before. So we ended up paying for parking twice. Make sure you do not park in lot D. A would be the preferred lot. Kinda a long walk for my mom In her 70's. My kids had fun on The wave pool and on the penguin slides. It was a really hot day when we went 95 so it was pretty brutal inside. Stuffy and very humid and hot. Definitely not for the older generation. Super heavy chlorine in the water, my eyes were burning most of the day. Still burning as I am writing this review. My son also was crying and Complaining his eyes hurt. Make sure if you have goggles they need to be on the whole time in the water. But my mom did not go in the water and her eyes hurt just from walking around the park We also ate at the burger shack which was pretty good. We had nachos, chicken nuggets, a chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger. We all liked our food and would eat their next visit if we needed to. We spent about 6 hours here and the kids did not want to leave. I said ok kids let's get ice cream at the troll's spot! Both of my kids had the churros and sponge bob ice cream bars and they thought it was Pretty good.
What an amazing experience! This water park had something for everyone tons of fun rides for all ages and an impressively large wave pool that kept us all entertained for hours. We rented a cubed room ( blue suite) for 10 people, and it was perfect private and comfortable, with a fridge, snacks, and even two complimentary kids' towels. It also included room service, which was a great bonus! The food and drinks were a bit on the pricey side, but honestly, it was worth it for the convenience and quality. My favorite spot? The relaxing hot tub area pure bliss! I would absolutely recommend this place to families or groups looking for a full day of water fun.
Being there was the best fun we have had in a long time. That indoor Waterpark was so huge so many rides. The music was awesome all day. The food was good. By the time we left we were absolutely exhausted. The changing room and bathrooms were very clean and tidy. For anyone that would like to know the lockers are $20 to lock your belongings. We had a cabana and looking down on to the pool is simply beautiful. I will say it does get hot in there but all in all the experience was 10/10 I will definitely go back again. Oh yes the stairs to get to the water slides is a bit crazy tons of steps so you will have to pace yourself.
SPLASH-TASTIC REVIEW: DREAMWORKS WATER PARK AT AMERICAN DREAM MALL The Grown-Up Take: Hold onto your swim caps, folks, because DreamWorks Water Park is a tidal wave of fun! We made the pilgrimage to the New Jersey American Dream Mall just for this aquatic wonderland, and let me tell you—it was shore worth it. Parking? A breezy $5 (practically a drop in the bucket). The mall itself is massive, but after a quick consult with a map (and maybe a minor detour or two), we found our watery paradise. Walking in was like stepping into Shrek’s swamp—if Shrek traded mud for a monsoon of slides, waves, and adrenaline. The wave pool? Unreal. The lazy river? Anything but lazy—more like a "splashy scenic cruise" with waterfalls, bridges, and enough spray zones to keep you cool. Lifeguards were on point (shoutout to the vigilant crew keeping us all safe while we acted like kids). Pro tip: Get there early to claim your throne (or at least a lounge chair). Food? Classic theme park fare—cheeseburgers, onion rings, even empanadas (because why not?). The Prince and Queen hit the slides hard and declared them "amazing," which, coming from royalty, is high praise. The Prince’s 12-Year-Old Verdict (Unfiltered & Full of Energy): OKAY, SO. The How to Train Your Dragon rollercoaster waterslide was INSANE. At first, I was like, "Eh, this might be kinda slow," but then—BAM!—the first drop hit, and a booster track YEETED us forward like Toothless on a sugar rush. The third drop? A 20-foot drop before another launch. I actually screamed (but in a cool way, obviously). The rafts fit four people and were crazy durable—like, Viking-level sturdy. The line took a while, but trust me, SO WORTH IT. Final Splash-Down: This place is a 10/10, no question. We’re already planning our next trip because once is never enough when you’re living the splash life. If you’re debating whether to go, just dive in—you won’t regret it! Rating: 🌊💦🚀 (Translation: "Soaking Awesome") See you in the wave pool!
