What are people saying (AI review summary)? This public pool is overwhelmingly praised as a 'hidden gem' and 'beautiful, lovely place,' with reviewers consistently highlighting its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly, caring staff. Access is free for residents (e.g., Jersey City, Hudson County, Union City, Weehawken) and requires ID or proof of address. Notable features include specific adult swim times, a popular kiddie pool, and a gazebo offering gorgeous Manhattan views. Visitors are advised to arrive early on hot days due to capacity limits, bring sunscreen as shade is limited, and note that food is not permitted (water is okay). While some mention 'meh clean' bathrooms lacking showers, others describe changing rooms as immaculately clean. The pool also has scheduled breaks throughout the day, so checking eligible swim times is recommended.

What a lovely place. Today (6/15) was my first visit. The associates who run the operation are kind, caring, polite and friendly. The restroom/changing room is immaculately clean as is the entire property. There is no cost to enter, and everyone is mindful of everyone else. Despite the fact that it is located in Union City, residents of Weehawken are welcomed. I will make sure to include a few laps as often as I possibly can. Thanks to all the associates who make the experience a welcoming one.
Loved it. Glad I am a resident to Jersey city; adult swims that I know to be true are 7:30 am- 8:30 am & 10:30 am - 12 pm. Great times honestly, no one bothered me it was a nice swim over all I’ll continue to frequent. Just show your ID, don’t bring food; you can bring water and be mindful of the public
Great hidden gem for NJ residents. Clean and well maintained public pool with great staff and lifeguards for safety. No fee to access, I would just recommend arriving very early as it does get busy on hotter days and they only allow a certain amount of people inside. No real shaded areas to place your things or escape the heat, so sunscreen is a must! Just make sure you plan accordingly as it’s not open for free swimming of all ages all the time.
Such a clean public pool. My 13 month old loved it, we stayed in the kiddie section. We didn’t realize they have quite a few breaks during the day though, so we arrived, played for 15 minutes and then the pool shut down. It opened back up 30 minutes later and folks patiently formed a line outside. You need to be a Hudson county citizen to enter the park. There’s a great gazebo you can hang out at to enjoy gorgeous Manhattan views. Bathrooms don’t have showers. Bathrooms were meh clean. I would go back for the kiddie pool. Just check their hours on eligible swim times.
Beautiful pool in Union City. Clean , safe , friendly staff . At the entrance you will be asked for ID ( or proof of address ) without food ! Inside you will find a swimming pool and a beautiful panoramic view.
