Stream-fed natural pool with a children's area and a diving platform.
As a natural spring-fed pool, its temperature varies with the season and groundwater conditions, typically ranging from the low 60s Fahrenheit (around 16-18°C) in early season to mid-70s Fahrenheit (around 24°C) in the peak of summer. There are no artificial heating systems, so the water temperature is naturally regulated by the environment.

Our visit to the Highlands Natural Pool was truly an unforgettable experience! My family and I were beyond satisfied — from the beautiful natural setting and the warm hospitality of the staff, to the overall atmosphere we enjoyed throughout the day. Swimming in fresh, natural spring water surrounded by nature is something truly special. The option to use the grill area was a huge plus, especially for families with children — it allowed us to enjoy a relaxing lunch in the shade, surrounded by peace and quiet. We also want to highlight how friendly and professional the staff were — their hospitality made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be coming back, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy nature, tranquility, and quality time with loved ones.
Such a unique way to spend a summer day.. beautiful clean area to swim rest and relax nestled in the woods.. if you love a natural contained lake to swim in with the safety of life guards this is a terrific place.. tubes are allowed and can be purchased.. I went during the week at opening time so I had no problems getting a table for picnicing at.. also there were plenty of loungers by the swimming area..I enjoyed watching the life guards coaching young swimmers to see if they were able to swim in the adult section.. there is a nice area for the younger kids that can't swim well enough for the big section..I love the wind chimes and bushes that attracted butterflies..I honestly felt like I was at a friend's home that happened to have a lake in the backyard for guests to enjoy... wish I lived closer to go more often.. it was a pleasant day.. worth the 20 a person fee ..
Wow, this was such a fantastic experience. The pool was amazing, not very buggy— only some dragon flys. The staff were kind and the grounds were kept well. I would definitely return and it’s worth the 20 dollars (P.S bring your own pool noodles!)
Absolutely awesome spot! The only place in northern nj where you can enter just by paying $20 and you don’t have to be a resident! Had a wonderful time, you can dive here 10feet deep!!! Also there’s a shallow gated water for kids. I’m coming back again. Bring your own food & water, also bring swimming noodles or any other floats You can even bbq here.
Such as lovely day spent in and out of the water. We found three lounge chairs in the shade + a picnic table for lunch. Everyone was friendly and kind and helpful. We enjoyed swimming in the natural pool, which feels like a tiny lake, the water is very refreshing. Great for kids to seniors alike, truly a little gem and a beautiful setting.
