What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this YMCA facility present a mixed but generally polarized view. Positive experiences highlight clean and comfortable amenities, including a lap pool, sauna, new machines, basketball courts, and well-maintained locker rooms. On-site parking is often available, and some staff, like Christina, are specifically praised for being extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, there are significant negative experiences, primarily revolving around staff interactions and membership/billing policies. Several reviewers reported encounters with unkind or 'nasty' staff, including one who felt judged and was denied a basic request (charging a phone). Membership issues include unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding overdue payments (despite having credit card info on file), and a 'ridiculous' 15-day cancellation notice policy that led to members being charged for an extra month after attempting to cancel. Some also wished for longer operating hours.

Lap pool and sauna make this place well worth the $60 Wish the hours were open a bit longer and earlier, but I make it work They have on site parking that unless you go during peak hours they have spots available It's clean and the machines upstairs are nice and pretty new Interested to know if they get pickup basketball games there Overall a great neighborhood Y. Can't believe it took me so long to find it
Denied charging my phone in the lobby while waiting for my bus, even with an available outlet. Staff showed no kindness. As a professional, I felt judged by my appearance—very disappointing for a place that claims to value community and respect.
I don’t normally write reviews but I am writing a review because my experience at this ymca has been great. Special thanks to Christina at the front desk who has been extremely helpful and friendly each time I visit or call the location. Making the decision to join this facility with my children was quick and easy because of Christina’s knowledge and patience when answering all of my questions. The gym, basketball court, weight room, pool, steam room, locker rooms are all clean and comfortable. Looking forward to utilizing all the amenities!
Has some of the nastiest people working there especially the lady that works at the front desk at night time. She stops me as I am coming in as usual to tell me with a straight face that I owe them two months of membership fees and if if I do not pay they will terminate my membership in few days. This came to me as news as I am coming in regularly and scanning my ID and nobody said anything about the payment not received before today. They have my credit card information on file and charge my card regularly in the beginning of each month. She did not provide any good answer as for why they did not collect the fee as my credit is valid with plenty of funds and is being used by me on daily bases every where. She also said falsely that they called me. And, I absolutely have no records of that. Again and again kept telling me to pay or lose my membership. This is the way they are treating a member of the organization for more than 20 years who is in good standing and used to bring my entire family there. It is disgusting to say the least.
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at the YMCA. I went to cancel my membership and was told I had to give 15 days' notice. I canceled 14 days ahead of my next billing date, but they still charged me for the following month. I've been a member of several other gyms, and I've never encountered such a ridiculous and frustrating policy. This has been an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
