What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Pines Swim & Tennis Club generally receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from its members, who praise its beautiful, well-maintained, and never-overcrowded facilities. It is consistently described as a relaxing, family-friendly 'summer home away from home' offering a wide array of amenities including pools (main and kiddie), har-tru tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, pickleball, tetherball, a playground, and a snack stand/grill. Members appreciate the serene atmosphere, the active and attentive Board, and the variety of activities for all ages, such as swim lessons, tennis programs, live music socials, and yoga classes. The club is noted for being spotless and providing a safe and fun environment for children to make friends. However, one significant negative review details a highly unsatisfactory experience hosting a birthday party as a non-member. This guest reported lacking service, disrespectful treatment from rude and snobby staff, and multiple unprovoked complaints during the event regarding guest numbers and cleanliness, despite paying generously and tipping. The reviewer also noted having to clean dirty chairs upon arrival and suggested the club consider better vetting processes or restricting party hosting to members only.

Our family loves this club! Beautiful setting, well maintained, fun and relaxing! All the good vibes we are looking for in the summertime. We love that there’s a playground with basketball courts and a snack stand where we can get lunch.

A beautiful place to relax all summer long!! Love hanging out poolside under the Pines and enjoying live music socials on Fridays nights. Serene and easy-going environment that welcomes ALL! Never over-crowded. Truly a safe & fun place for kids to spend the summer and make new friends... Swim lessons, tennis program, and basketball games for the bigger kids, plus kiddie pool and playground for the little ones. Hungry? Stop by the Gus & Dani's Pines Grill for a yummy treat!

Unfortunate experience hosting my daughter’s fifth birthday party here. Not only was the service lacking, but the disrespectful treatment of our guests and multiple phone-calls during the party regarding complaints and accusations of having “too many” people in the pool + not cleaning up after ourselves after paying generously for use of the facilities as well as leaving a generous tip for the staff is truly disheartening. I actually paid for 6 additional children as I planned for 25 but only had 19 show up. Prior to the party I asked if there was a limit on the number of people allowed and was told there was no limit. My party included 44 people in total, 19 of whom were children and not even half of the adults were actually in the pool. The adults in the pool were with their children - apologies if them playing with their children and socializing at a pool party is against pool party protocol. I was accused of having 60 people in the pool. I was also accused of leaving the area in such a mess, that cleaners would need to be called in. It’s unfortunate that you need cleaners to sweep up some balloons and that your paying guests didn’t ask for a broom to sweep up the area. When we arrived we had to ask for paper towels to wipe down the dirty chairs - so maybe you should consider hiring cleaners so future paying guests wouldn’t have to clean your facilities for you. I don’t ever leave reviews but this was certainly an unacceptable experience. In the future, I’d suggest you consider only allowing members of the pool to host parties there if you’re going to discriminate or potentially implementing a better vetting process this way you can ensure the individuals you allow in are up to your and the club members’ standards in order to avoid unprovoked complaints and save guests the nasty treatment from the rude and snobby staff.

The Pines Swim & Tennis Club is our summer home away from home. What's not to love? It's never too crowded (because they cap membership at 200). It's not a "show" like other pool/tennis clubs so you can truly relax. The har-tru tennis courts, like the rest of the Club, are beautifully maintained. The Board is active and attentive. Activities for the kids and yoga classes--all included in membership. Pick up bball on Sunday's is ways fun. We feel lucky to be a part of this unique place.
