Splash pad at a local park open free to the public during spring, summer, and fall.
As a splash pad, the water at Apopka Splash Pad is typically not heated or temperature-controlled. The water temperature is generally ambient, supplied directly from the city's water system, offering a naturally refreshing experience, especially welcome during warm Florida weather.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Apopka splash pad is generally considered nice and well-maintained, offering a good local option for families with young children at a $2 admission fee, and features covered picnic tables. However, the experience differs between weekdays, which are better for smaller children with more supervision, and weekends, where unsupervised preteens and teenagers can make it difficult for younger kids to play. There have also been issues with poor communication regarding unexpected temporary closures for maintenance, causing inconvenience. One review also noted the water being turned off early on a Sunday.

It’s very nice and well maintained but going during the week vs weekends are very different. During the week everyone is watching their kids and there are more smaller children. On the weekends there is no supervision and preteen & teenage kids running and treating the splash pad like a playground climbing and hanging on everything and making it impossible for the smaller kids to play.
My friends daughters birthday party was scheduled at the Apopka splash pad but the day before they announced that the pad was temporarily closed for maintenance. My friend had to scramble for a bounce house at the last minute to make up the cancellation. Communication could be better in this case
So I must say for just a little splash pad, this place was perfect.. we where trying to get into the spring down the street, but they where closed until some people left. So we decided to stop at the splash pad.
Stumbled across this today with my children while we were waiting for an appointment to end. What a great find! Admission is $2 per person and while it's nothing worth traveling from a long distance to experience it's really great if you're local. I would recommend it to anyone with young children. Oh, there's a covered area with picnic tables too.
They turned off the water today, Sunday, at 4:00 pm.
