What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews indicate a hotel with significant inconsistencies and areas in need of improvement, despite apparent efforts towards remodeling. A recurring complaint is the poor condition and cleanliness of the rooms, with descriptions like 'filthy,' 'dirty,' 'stained carpets and couches,' 'gross walls,' 'dated,' and 'dusty.' Some guests experienced missing amenities, issues with electronic keys, or even a lack of secure locks in certain areas during refurbishment. The water park is generally deemed 'okay' or 'enough for a few hours' but is frequently noted as being 'smaller than pictures,' needing 'work,' having slow slides, and some safety concerns like rusty handrails; its early closing time was also a point of disappointment. While many guests consistently praised the staff for being friendly, helpful, and accommodating, there were notable issues such as extreme difficulty reaching the hotel by phone for reservations and severe understaffing in the breakfast buffet area, leading to long waits and a lack of food. The hotel's exterior appearance is often described as 'run down,' and one guest expressed concern about the surrounding neighborhood. Overall, the hotel appears to be in a transitional phase, with some positive elements like staff friendliness and occasional room upgrades, but heavily impacted by maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and operational shortcomings.

I wanted to make a reservation with this resort, but unfortunately, I tried every number that they have online and I can’t get a person on the phone for the life of me for the past two days can’t get a hold of anybody so unfortunately I’m not going to be going I do not trust doing it online because I have several questions that their website does not answer Too bad.
We stayed in the back of the hotel. We were in town for an event at Silver Spurs so there is not a whole lot of options. We had 2 rooms and they were filthy. One room had a huge stain on the carpet that looked like blood. The walls were gross and the chairs had disgusting stains. Now friends of our stayed in the suites on the sides and their rooms were much nicer, no carpet. The water park is okay. The big slides are so slow you get stuck but the overall experience was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful but the rooms were gross.
I first want to say - I'm not "that" person that posts negative reviews, as I typically look at it that the resort just had a bad day.. However, I do feel others need to beb warned.. We booked this hotel last minute for a fun getaway with the kids in March 2013. The Price was right and it looked fun. Our first impression was - WTH did we book? The building looked run down from the outside, the water park was alot smaller than expected and closed at 6pm, so after heading to down town Disney to eat and hang out , by the time we were back in the resort to relax the water park was closed. Our room was on the outside of the resort facing a vacant lot- we had 2 rooms, one of which they could never get the electronic key to work, luckily we had a connecting room and could use the other door. The rooms were dirty... our socks were BLACK from the tile floor not being cleaned. I was extremely disappointed. When we started to look closer, several rooms in this section didn't even have locks.. it looked like they were trying to refurbish.. But honestly, knowing that there were rooms only a door down that could be accessed by ANYONE was a bit unsettling.. I was happy it was only a one night stay and we chalked it up to an " experience". The Breakfast buffet- only one person running the cash register and busing the tables. I honestly felt really bad for her as you could see she was over whelmed and could not keep up on the tables. The buffet would have been nice if there was FOOD and ORANGE JUICE- but everything was picked thru when we first got there , we had to wait approximately 25 minutes for the cook to start restocking the Buffet- here again - I felt bad for the guy as it seemed as though he was the only one working in the kitchen. At that point- I just wanted to get outta dodge and head home.. I was done.. I would not recommend this place until they make some serious changes--
I booked this place last minute because of the waterpark feature. The hotel itself looks a little run down from the outside (and other buildings around it). Once inside you could tell they were starting a remodel or rearranging. While you could tell the hotel was really making an effort to remodel and make it a better place...it just wasn't quite there yet. Here's what we liked and didn't like: Likes - The staff was friendly both at the reception and the pool staff. We booked a standard double bed room, and got an upgrade to a larger family suite. That was a plus! The room had a kitchenette, small table with 4 chairs, bunk beds, and pullout couch, in the bedroom was a king bed and chair. Both rooms had a flatscreen tv. It was a nice size room especially for a family. The hotel does have a waterpark - it was enough to entertain my 9yr old for a few hours, but even after that he was ready to go do something else. They did have an arcade, and family activities (we didn't participate in any of them though). DISLIKES: carpets and couch were stained badly. On our way there, we wished we had known that the neighborhood wasn't really a "good" part of town - though it probably isn't the worst... thankfully we never had an incident. The toddler water play area looked dangerous.. while the slides and water were fine the metal handrails were extremely rotted and rusty - I was worried for my toddlers safety. Finally, there were no linens on the bunks, and no blankets anywhere in the room - we called down and they did bring us some and we put them on the beds ourselves... While this wasn't the worst place I ever stayed it's not the best either.
We booked this hotel for a quick out of school vacation for the kids. The room we were supposed to have gotten with our living social was a typical motel room, so I decided to upgrade to the family suite, which ended up being a great decision. The rooms are a little dated and a little dusty, but I notice all of the nooks and crannies because I have a cleaning business. The queen beds in the master part of the wuite were fine,,but the twin mattresses were VERY used,,with the springs coming through. I called front desk and they brought me the last new twin,,,but also gave me some down feather blankets to put on top of the other one which turned out fine. My living social came with 4 passes per day,,so we didn' t have to pay for the waterpark saving us a little extra $.I liked the divider door between the two rooms giving us the parents a little privacy with our TV and the kids with theirs. The water park is definitelty in need of some work and is a lot smaller than the pictures display. But this is in a hotel not Adventure Island. The best part was the staff, bartenders, janitors, maids, and front desk all go out of their way to please. Overall was an ok trip,,hopefully new owners put a little more money into the place to turn the negatives into a positive.
