Public pool with six lanes offering swimming lessons for kids.
The outdoor pool at Dover Shores Pool is heated. It is typically maintained at a comfortable temperature, generally ranging between 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 26.6-27.7 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Dover Shores Park is generally well-regarded as a family-friendly facility, offering various activities like swimming, tennis, racquetball, handball, basketball, and a baseball field. It's described as clean, welcoming, and secure, with friendly staff and excellent swim instructors, particularly Miss Morgan. City residents enjoy free access, and non-residents pay a small fee. However, a notable concern raised is the presence of inappropriate behavior from some male patrons towards the young, high school-aged staff, which can make it an uncomfortable environment. Additionally, some reviewers mentioned difficulty in securing swim lanes unless arriving early, and one reviewer felt the monthly fee was too high given these issues.

When my daughter was small, we loved Dover shores park. Now with my granddaughter I'm enjoying the park again. Love the fact that there is so much to do. Swimming pool tennis, racket ball, hand ball, basketball and a huge baseball field.

Great to take the kids and to cool off from the heat. City residents are free. Non residents are only $4.
My granddaughter goes to after school care here. I picked her up for a few days. This is a stellar facility with too notch personnel! I was really impressed. So clean and welcoming, yet very secure for parent pick ups.
Place is ran by high schoolers doing their best to deal with the bunch of creepy old men who come to just hit on these poor girls. Good luck getting a lane to swim in unless you show up an hour early. Few nice people but the majority are some incredibly rude seniors and creepy middle aged dudes that think it’s ok to hit on the teen aged life guards. Not worth the ridiculously high monthly fee.
