Basic outdoor, heated pool featuring a diving board and a water slide.
The 25-yard lap pool at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center is heated during the cooler months. The main zero-depth entry pool is generally maintained at a comfortable temperature throughout the year. The diving well, however, remains unheated.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Overall, this community pool offers a fun experience with various amenities including swim lanes, diving boards, water slides (for all ages), children's fountains, and clean water. Visitors appreciate the free, ample seating options, shaded areas, life jacket availability, and a dedicated zero-entry for young children. There are also many events and a polite reception staff. However, several areas need improvement. There are frequent complaints about inconsistent operating hours (differing from online listings, frequent weekend closures, and quick shutdowns due to weather), the condition of the parking lot (bumpy gravel), and the limited selection in vending machines. Some guests find the lifeguards overly strict regarding pool rules and specific ladder use, while others describe them as attentive. The deep end of the pool is considered too narrow for swim teams and can cause discomfort for some, and some wish the facility were larger.

The reception lady was polite. Not satisfied with how it says on Google they close at. 8, but today closed at 5 instead. Parking lot needs to be redone and should be made of the traditional smooth pavement not bumpy gravel and grass. Not much to pick from vending machines, was expecting ice cream and maybe little more drinks to pick from. They should add a concession stand instead of vending machines. Lifeguards seem a little too strict, like for example if I wanted to swim toward the ladder in the other side of the pool they would whistle and holler no and say use the other ladder at the diving board. Also, they wouldn’t let this kid bounce on diving board more than one time. It would have been more convenient if they expanded the space where the deeper end of the pool is for the swim team to use. It was too narrow, and NOT good for my claustrophobia. Other than these flaws, I thought it was fun. I enjoyed the water slide and the big mushroom shaped thing where water spewed out. Water seemed clean, and there was no “adult swim”. The chairs were also free to sit in which is great since some places may charge you to rent their chairs.
Large facility with swim lanes, diving boards, a full size slide, children's fountains, and a children's slide. Lots of places to sit by the pool. Shaded umbrella areas. Life jackets available. Lots of events! Lots of parking.
This is a fun community pool to go to on a hot day. It could be a little bigger but it is what it is. They have chairs with some under umbrellas, picnic tables under umbrellas, a slide, diving board, lap lanes, and a zero entrance for the Littles. The lifeguards are very attentive which is great.
They are way too quick to shut down at the slightest chance of rain or alleged lightening. Not at all a place for predictable family fun!
I love this place. But why are you guys always closed on the weekends where kids can have fun? But always open on school weeks where kids have to go to school and can't have any fun.
