The pools are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. The membership policies feel like a bait and switch. When we joined we were supposed to accumulate guest passes, but had to wait 3 months for the first set. When trying to use them 5 months in, they said they changed the policy so that passes are only usable 4/12 months of the year, but we can pay them more money. When considering whether to sign up, they used high pressure tactics offering to join video calls at weird hours to help us sign up.
The facilities here need to be much much better for the cost of membership. The showers all have broken handles so you can't control the water temp, the drains are usually full of hair, the steam room is always broken (even though they closed it for weeks to renovate it, it reopened looking and smelling the same), and everything is rusty and full of calcium build up. This location is always packed with people, hard to park at, and hard to book facilities for what you want. They charge an absurd amount for membership yet can't maintain decent basic faculties. They also have a ridiculous cancellation policy, requiring you to pay for months after deciding to leave. Just stay away.
Beware of the Bay Club’s unethical cancellation policy changes. On July 25, I submitted a request to cancel a membership effective July 31—only to learn they had secretly changed their policy to require 30-day notice. Key issues: No proper notice: They admit the change was only communicated via a newsletter (no email/letter), buried among trivial updates. Retroactive charges: Despite canceling under the old policy, they charged me for August. Senior Director Ryan Ashbaker refused a refund, claiming it would be "unfair" to other members (but where’s the fairness in hiding policy changes?). No accountability: They insist their "legal team approved" the notification method, but approval ≠ compliance with consumer laws.
Been a member for over a year now. At first the equipment was outdated but now majority of the equipment/treadmills/stair masters have been updated with completely new machines. The fellow gym members are very respectful and friendly. They do a very good job keeping up with fresh clean white towels around the facility!
It took them more than two weeks for any possible fixes. Just for Women’s lockers room, steam room took 3 weeks, regular jacuzzi maintenance took 2+ weeks. Management team doesn’t like to hear members’ feedbacks. Horrible Bayclub location.
