They are awesome! Ever since day one we have had a great experience with British swim school! All the teachers and staff are super sweet, from Jaime, luna, Anthony, and many other teachers that my son has had, unfortunately I can’t remember their names. My son has only had 4 classes and has graduated from the first level. My son has shown so much progress in so little time. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.
Jamie is super attentive and very invested in our son's success. She is always making sure he has the coaching and attention for his advancement through the curriculum and she's super nice to boot! 10 out of 10 recommend.
Short answer: no, stay away. Go to Orange Park, much better setup without any strings. Long answer: I was looking for swimming lessons for my nephew as a birthday gift. My brother is a member at Millbrae Meadows, so I ask my brother to inquire if they have a deal with Millbrae Meadows for just being a member. He confirms with Millbrae Meadows. I think great, it’s a community pool that we are familiar with and we get a discount. I add my nephew to the wait list, as all the slots are filled. A few days later, my brother gets a call with someone from British Swim School and books the 2 week session. Just 2 weeks. British Swim School confirms of the discount and my card gets charged with the discounted price. It was not a deposit. It was the discounted price that he confirmed with a rep at British Swim School. About two to three days before session starts, I see another charge to my card. An email is sent to my brother, stating an error on some people’s accounts that did not get charged correctly and issue has been rectified. Error ?? I calculated both charges and it equals to the full 2 weeks session. My brother tries to call, message within the app, and email. No response. Yes, they have an app and I had high hopes. Do not be fooled. The app was only updated with my nephew’s progress for the first two days, then just nothing. As noted, the session was for two weeks. 8 days, 45 minutes each. There were 3 students in total. The pool is outdoors at Millbrae Meadows, so you need to keep that in mind when you book. They make kids get out if they are not working with the instructor. At $420 a student, you would think multiple instructors would be available, but no. On cold and windy days, it was a miserable day for my nephew. I knew the pool was heated, so I didn’t think it would affect him as much. I didn’t think they would be waiting outside of the pool. The kids were freezing the entire time they were waiting. Instructor saw it, but it didn’t matter. No regard for the kids to feel comfortable at all by getting an additional instructor to corral the kids in the pool. It’s about the bottom dollar for this company. The two weeks are done, still no update within the app. No clue if my nephew learned anything in the two weeks. I guess I will know when we take him swimming. The kicker, my brother receives a message through the app today that my nephew is on a membership plan. Say what ??! We only signed up for the two weeks session, not this lifelong membership. This company is a racket. Stay away.
Overall, great experience. My 7yo was with Sofia and progressed very quickly. She had a calm and patient demeanor that he really resonated with.
Patient and adaptive to meet our daughter’s timidness. Made great progress in her two week cam!
