What are people saying (AI review summary)? This swim program receives mixed but generally positive feedback, particularly regarding its effectiveness in teaching children to swim. Many parents highly commend the instructors, highlighting their wonderful demeanor, enthusiasm, and ability to help children progress significantly, even from not knowing how to swim at all. Specific instructors like Jesse, Dylan, Kai, Jamie, and operations manager Anthony are singled out for praise. The program's structure, with twice-weekly 30-minute classes for small groups, is noted for fostering steady growth, and the warm pools are a hit with kids. Parents appreciate the feedback system and student portal. However, there are significant criticisms regarding the program's operations and facilities. Issues include inconsistent teaching styles among instructors, problems with auto-payments, a 'horrible' app, and confusing 'fine print.' The locations, often hotel pools, are frequently criticized for 'funky' changing tents, 'nasty' bathrooms, and over-chlorinated water, leading to a perception of 'below mediocre' customer service and overall location experience outside of the lessons themselves.

My 4 y/o son has been in these swimming classes for a few months now and I have witnessed his progression through their program. His comfort in the water has noticeably improved and I think the program will make any kid thrive in future water sports and recreation. The growth is steady and not too fast because it’s only twice a week for 30 minutes and there’s anywhere from 2-4 other kids. That said, so far we have liked what we’ve seen and some of the instructors are amazing with kids and you can really tell in how your kid responds to them. Some noticeable instructors in the South City and Burlingame locations are: Jesse, Dylan, Kai, & Jamie! The operations manager Anthony also pops in now and then and those classes are usually the ones where I notice the most progress, as well as with Jesse. Some room for improvement is consistency. I notice some instructors do things differently than others, such as pushing the kid (within reason) to be more independent where others you can tell are on auto pilot. Overall, so far I would recommend the program to any parent in the Penninsula.
Beware of auto payments, horrible “app”, fine print and the different locations at hotels with the funky changing tents, nasty bathrooms and over chlorinated pools. Everything about the customer service and locations is below mediocre. The instructors are what gave them the extra two stars
My son started going to this swim school for about 6 months already. Before he didn’t know how to swim at all ( didn’t go to any pool once). So he was like from nothing to now he know how to survive when he drop into water and swim by himself. It was very good experience for him and he loved it. I could highly recommend this swim school.
My kids (age 4 and 2) just started taking lessons here. They were formerly at YMCA, which has been closed for many months now because of COVID. The staff and swim instructors here are wonderful with the kids, and have the same level of training and enthusiasm as the YMCA. It's a really warm pool which the kids love. They have a great feedback system and student portal where you can monitor your kids progress and send feedback. I highly recommend this swim school.
I have tried British Swim School last year, they cancel 2 classes out of total 4 at the last minute, the personal trainer was training 2 trainees at the same time, also it was so difficult to cancel my subscription. I & my wife were not happy at all
