I love this community pool. It is so accessible, great prices, great attitude. I love the community feel and how it is not pretentious in any way...everyone is welcome here. The kid's swim lessons ate remarkably good - young teachers who are really committed and have really good patience with annoying kids who don't listen. I wish they had more funding for better maintenance of their amenities, but all in all, a great pool!
Started a preschooler in swim lessons here and it’s not been the best experience. It’s incredibly chaotic as they cram far too many lessons into one corner of the pool and do not allow any transition time between the different time slots. During the very first lesson, a woman was in the girls locker room and was very upset about all of the boys that were in there. She was pointing out the older boys and she was not wrong. She went and got an employee and they came and asked the older boys to leave. On the way out the door, the employee stopped, looked at me, and announced to the whole locker room that four was the age limit for boys in the locker room. After she was finished, she just stood and stared at me as if I was breaking that rule. I was with a four-year-old. At this point, this is an age old issue, and I am surprised that they don’t have family rooms to solve for this. Also note that the same older boys (8-10 years old) were right back in the girls locker room at the next lesson. Updating to add my next experience after I posted this. Today is our fourth swim lesson. We were told that we do not need to check in at the front desk that we just check in with the teacher at the pool at the start of a lesson. Today, as we went to walk past the front desk, a girl at the front desk, asked us to stop and check-in in a very snotty manner. There were two of them sitting there, and I informed them that we were told we didn’t have to check in at the front desk. The second girl agreed with me that we didn’t need to check in and then the snotty one tried asking me if we had been here before and if this is our first lesson (seemingly with the need to be right). I informed them that this is our fourth time being here as the classes are already mid session. I am pretty sure that I will not be signing up for the next session. Just a crappy experience all the way around.
The whole pool section and locker room are disgustingly super moist and lack ventilation. There are fleas/gnats all over the locker room/bathroom stalls. Today, there was no toilet paper or paper towel in the women’s locker room. We told the front desk, and the guy looked shocked. I mean, yeah, where are the female employees? Oh right, the manager, who is always running the swim lessons, has her hands tied. Every staff member we’ve come across just sits around and does nothing. Try going to a different pool, you’ll know this place is unsanitary and upright disgusting. It should be torn down.
We’ve been attending this pool for over three years, and it’s incredibly disheartening to see how far the quality has slipped. What was once a well-run program with engaged, skilled instructors has deteriorated into something barely recognizable. In recent months, it seems the facility has shifted to hiring mostly teenage boys who, while perhaps well-meaning, spend more time joking around than actually instructing. There’s little structure to the lessons anymore, and the focus on real skill development has vanished. Our children come out of class having learned nothing new—just wet and tired. The facility itself has grown noticeably dirtier, and there appears to be little effort toward upkeep or sanitation. Changing rooms are often unclean, and equipment is in poor condition. It’s clear that the issues stem from the top. This place desperately needs a change in management and a return to hiring qualified, dedicated teachers who care about swimming and child development. Until that happens, I can no longer recommend this pool to other families
Loved the hot showers, the pool isn't too cold and saw them testing the chemicals so seems clean, and like that you can book a lap swim. Basic community pool but I will be back for sure!
