The staff is amazingly wonderful especially Cari, wow she is just so helpful and polite. Food is very good and pool is very fun to swim in, locker rooms are great. Swim team coaches are very knowledgeable about their craft, the child care staff just love children and help them every step along the way of their journey. The only thing I would change is having a bigger mens locker room.
My kid has been getting swim lessons here for 2 yrs and we ve tried every other place around. I can tell this is by far the best for lessons. Even better than goldfish or ymca or others. The pool temperature is perfect for kids. That was our biggest criteria when we joined. We travel 7 miles for lessons because they have the best coaches and staff
Pool dwellers, MLT Pavilion pool is a fabulous recreation center. It offers a wide variety of programs both in and out of the water. Being a disabled veteran, I use the pool to rehab my knee and back that I hurt in the army. The pool has several lanes for different speeds and abilities. They also have a special use lane for rehabilitation. There is also a water aerobics class and multiple kids area to swim and play. There are always two life guards on duty in the evenings and I would like to give a huge shout out to Krystin. When she is on shift in her life guard chair, she is always on point and is focused on her section of the pool as well as the sauna and hot tub. She is also super friendly to me and all the other swimmers as well. She also is super kind to the children and when they need to be held accountable, Krystin is not afraid to politely educate them on the pool rules. Overall, Krystin and the MLT Pavilion get an A+ from me. Over and Out! Sgt. Mike U.S. Army Recon
Wonderful indoor playground. It’s clean and a large play area. The price of non residents $4.50 is great, you don’t find that much nowadays. They open early which is great as well!
It is absolutely amazing what "they" fit into this rather compact, octagonal, circa 1980's building: shop for swimsuits and water toys, indoor toddler playground, reception area, hot tub, (very small) cardio room, a small lazy river-like whirlpool, 2 lap swim lanes, shallow kiddie pool with slowly descending ramp, aqua exercise pool with water basketball hoops, small diving pool. I have been too many much larger and much more luxurious communal spas -mainly in German speaking Europe- but it is just amazing how much the planners have fit into this much smaller and older facility in Mountlake Terrace, WA. The intelligence and creativity of whoever planned and designed the Mountlake Terrace facility is simply AMAZING! Every town in the country should take this rec center as a model and example how much you can do within a fairly compact space with limited means in what looks like a middle class setting. SIX STARS!
