I overall love the gym and the staff until today. A staff member was very rude. First staff I have ran into that was anything but amazing. I wanted mainly to bring this up as I know having a welcoming environment is crucial to a successful business. And I hope the environment won't slowly change because I truly love our gym.
This location is TERRIBLE for swim classes. If I could give 0 stars I would. Signed our son up for classes here and the first class was canceled. Second class went ok. Then the third class was ALSO canceled. On the fourth class they stuck our son in a higher class that he wasn’t even supposed to be in. Why, I have no idea! He couldn’t do anything that the other kids were doing and the teacher was being so rude to our son (bigger male with short curly hair) for not knowing how to do these things when he wasn’t even supposed to be in that class! A real good way to make a kid scared of water. Do not go to this location for swim classes. We should have just been refunded for that class instead of them putting him in a higher up class for who knows what reason and not even discussing it with us. Very unprofessional
Worst YMCA ever. Kiddie pool is never open. Super restrictive pool rules for no reason. If kids can touch in a pool it shouldn’t be required for a parent to be in arms reach. I’m a mom with 6 kids and they make it impossible for me to bring my kids to the pool by myself. Super disappointing and incredible frustrating.
I take my son here for summer camp and I wouldn’t recommend it. I didn’t receive an email or any information regarding what they would be doing and drop off times. I dropped off his change of clothes and the teacher said she would give them to my son, and he never received them. Definitely had better expectations and was highly disappointed. He will not be returning.
This is now the third week in a row that posted open swim hours have not been honored. I even texted this morning to confirm, and when we got to the pool, the open swim lanes were closed for private lessons. When I tried to make a complaint at the front desk, I was told that I need to speak to someone, but I wasn't given *any* phone numbers to call. For the record, membership costs around $100 per month, and because they close open swim for private lessons without any notice, we've now been unable to use our membership for three of the four paid weeks. Will be cancelling and not ever returning.
