Warm, year-round recreational pool for laps, classes and open swim featuring diving boards and a basketball hoop.
Specific pool temperatures for Pulaski Indoor Pool are not explicitly published by the City of Milwaukee Parks & Recreation. However, as a public indoor facility designed for general use, including family-friendly features like zero-depth entry and a splash pad, the water is typically maintained at a comfortable temperature, generally ranging from 80-84°F (27-29°C), suitable for diverse aquatic activities.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool is generally clean, well-priced at $4, and offers a warm water temperature of 85°F, making it a good option for swimming, especially in winter when it's often not crowded. Facilities include lap lanes, diving boards (though sometimes only one is usable), and hot showers. Staff are described as great. However, there are some areas for improvement: male water aerobics instructors lack enthusiasm and new routines, the men's locker room is considered old/unchanged, showers are not adjustable for temperature or spray, there's a strong bleach smell, and basketballs are in poor condition. Lockers require a 50-cent key from the front desk.
Reviews
This pool and the women's lockers are well maintained. The male instructors for the water aerobics classes in the mornings are not too enthusiastic. They haven't changed their routines for the classes in the last 10 years.
Clean pool, hours and cost is in the first picture, $4 for one adult. Water was 85 degrees Fahrenheit today and while the main part of the pool was pretty biopsy there were 2 lap lanes open and I had one of them all to myself. Two lifeguards on duty with a third for rotation. Two diving boards were open. Showers were hot but not adjustable for temperatures or spray. One private shower on men’s locker room. Don’t bother bringing a lock. Lockers are the type with an orange key, 50 cents at the front desk. Remember what Dorey said, “Hey there Mr. Grumpy Gills, know whatcha gotta do when life gets you down? Just keep swimming, just keep swimming! What do we do? We swim, swim, swim.” 🏊♀️ 🏊♂️ 🏊
It’s a good place to have fun in the winter, good price at$4, the water is warm and it’s not crowded like other pools.
It's nothing fancy but there isn't much selection for public swimming in this area so I give a good rating for the opportunity. They have 2 diving boards (spring boards) but I've only ever seen 1 usable. They have a basketball hoop but the balls are in sad shape. Locker room.hasnt changed since I was a kid. The price is right, though.
Smell too much like bleach. The staff are great
