The BSS program, at its core, is a great program for very young swimmers. The deck ambassadors are the sweetest and really pleasant and helpful. Weve been members of 2 different franchises over 4 years. However, the way this one is run, especially the Morristown and Parsippany pools, make them very ill-fitted for families of young children. Recognizing that all programs struggle with turnover, these 2 locations have extreme turnover and under trained instructors. There is little to no communication given when there are instructor substitutes, which is vital information when dealing with temperamental little children. Inconsistent instructors pretty much means your child doesnt progress. Most instructors dont have the skills or training to modify their lessons to appropriately adjust to the child. Pool temp can be hit or miss. Although, again, the deck ambassadors do their best with what theyre given. I highly recommend the BSS program. Just try a location NOT owned by this franchise.

I enjoyed the learning experience. Trainers have been awesome. Although there have been multiple trainers, all of them helped me with their unique style of teaching and techniques to get a grasp of various strokes. They even went far to teach me Butterfly stroke and underwater swimming. A suggestion to learners - It would help you to learn quicker if you choose 2 days a week over one day a week. we thought this would be different experience but turns out to be the worse. My daughter has joined BSS almost. year ago, but she is still in the same class. They just leave kids in the pool and ask them to swim. Today, I watched 4 kids in the pool, swimming without an instructor in the water, even thought there were 3 outside the pool either on their phone or talking to each other. I watched them for 30 min and not a single time they talk to any of the students about the swimming technique.

My kids have gotten very comfortable with the water in a short time. They have advanced in their skills and are definitely progressing well. Can't wait for them to be fully independent I'm water. Instructors are great and patient and make it fun.

British Swinm School at Parsippany is an excellent place for kids to learn to swim and to get better. I brought my 10 year old son here when he had bacic swim skills and was a little afraid of the water. He has blossomed here. He can swim so confidently now and can do different strokes. Also, they are so flexible with cancellations and make up classes. Highly highly recommend this place.
