My daughter had such a wonderful experience with this swim school! The instructors are patient, encouraging, and really make learning to swim less stressful. They do a great job of helping kids feel comfortable in the water and take the time to explain everything without rushing. Eli, Essam, Fifi and Emily, these guys are great. You can tell they genuinely care about each student’s progress. The atmosphere is super friendly, and as a bonus, it’s just a short walk from our house. Highly recommend!
My kids 8 and 5 year old twins have been with British Swim School since last year in the beginning of summer. My eldest has made excellent progress in her confidence and continuously advancing in her swimming skills. She tells me that swimming is her favorite activity now. Im also amazed that my 5 yr old twins are more confident in the water and i commend the teachers for being so flexible in dealing with them and pushing them to do better. Special thank you to our instructors Ms. Fifi, Ms. Z, Mr. Essam and Mr. Uriel for their huge help making the lessons fun, engaging, and for being patient, kind and focused in helping my kids reach their milestones. Also to Ms. Ariana, Ms. Emily and Ms. Ivana for constantly helping me on my kids schedules, having 3 kids go swimming at the same time takes a lot of effort and they make things easier. They also offer suggestions to support my children's progress more. Every staff member that we have come into contact with are so helpful and friendly.I have and will continue to recommend British Swim School. My kids always look forward to swimming every week.❤️
I’m writing to express my concern regarding a recent experience with the Tadpole class during the 5:30 PM session today at July 24th. At the end of class, the instructor felt that my child was ready to be promoted, as we had previously discussed. He consulted with the staff member handling check-in (a young woman with short curly hair—while I know her name, I’m choosing not to include it here for privacy). However, she immediately said “no” without having observed my child during the ENTIRE class. I find it deeply troubling that someone who was not present for the ENTIRE lesson would override the instructor’s professional judgment without firsthand knowledge. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of such situations. Other parents have shared similar experiences, suggesting this may be a recurring issue. To be absolutely sure, I even brought in a private instructor to assess my child at our community pool, and they also confirmed that my child is ready for the next level. Additionally, I would like to formally report the inappropriate behavior of the staff member mentioned above. Her tone was dismissive, and she came across as judgmental and power-tripping in how she handled the situation. It felt unfair and left me feeling very uncomfortable as a parent. I respectfully request clarification on the following: • Who makes the final decision about student promotions? • What criteria are used to determine promotion readiness? • Why is a staff member who did not observe the class allowed to overrule the instructor? I care deeply about my child’s progress and learning experience. I hope your team takes this feedback seriously, and I will be following up until I receive a clear and fair response. Responding to respond:- Hi Robert, Thank you for your response. I want to be very clear: the instructor himself told me that my child was ready to move up and that he would promote him in the next class. In fact, another parent standing nearby also heard this. At the end of class, the instructor asked the check in lady to initiate the promotion, but she (the staff member at check-in) said no. If he truly didn’t believe my child was ready, why would he initiate that conversation at all? It’s upsetting to see the blame being shifted to the instructor, who seemed to have my child’s best interest in mind. The issue lies in how the final decision was handled—by someone who had not observed the class at all and dismissed the promotion without explanation. I’d appreciate an honest and clear explanation rather than redirecting accountability. I hope you’ll take this seriously and look into how promotion decisions are being made—and communicated.
We had our son trained here when he was 9 months old. We loved the trainers and their compassion. We were nervous in the beginning since he was too small but we are now confident and highly recommend them for others
My daughter has been enrolled at British swim school since she was 6 months old. She’s now two and is extremely comfortable with water (parents, yes she loves baths & showers too!) the beauty of the school is it’s perfect for all ages at any swim level. We’ve been to all of the British swim school facilities, but follow one instructor in particular: Chiara. She’s extremely professional, caring and shows true interest to the overall growth of my child. As for the physical place; parking can be a bit tough, and the pool at this location is a bit shallow compared to other locations. All in all the scheduling works perfectly with any hiccups we may have during the week. I suggest anyone and everyone who’s willing to learn how to swim. Join British swim school!
