Cool, kid-friendly public pool featuring a kiddie section three big pools and a diving board.
Specific pool temperatures for the Palisades Park Swim Club are not readily available or typically advertised. As an outdoor facility, water temperatures naturally vary with ambient weather conditions and sun exposure throughout the season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Multiple reviews consistently highlight significant issues at the pool center. A primary concern is the poor cleanliness of the pools, described as murky, cloudy, and containing sand, rocks, and miscellaneous debris. Several visitors questioned the safety and hygiene given the water conditions. Another major point of contention is the severe discrepancy between strict entry rules (e.g., no outside food/drinks, no re-entry, thorough bag checks) and a complete lack of enforcement once inside, particularly regarding swimwear policy. Guests observed others swimming in regular cotton clothing despite a stated 'swimwear only' rule, with staff failing to address these violations. Customer service is also criticized, with staff being described as unwelcoming, inattentive, or dismissive of complaints. The pricing, at $20 per person for all ages (including babies), is considered expensive, especially given the various restrictions (e.g., no personal floats, limited outside food for toddlers) and the overall poor condition of the facilities. While one review noted a strong security presence, the overwhelming sentiment is negative, with many expressing regret for visiting and vowing to seek alternative swimming options.

Been coming here for years love the atmosphere the little events that go on and usually the pools, but today the pool water did not seem clean. There was miscellaneous things on the bottom. Also doesn’t seem balanced and very murky just saying if a lifeguard is up on his chair how would he ever see someone drowning in that? So I tried to bring it to one of the managers or someone in charge and she assured me it was clean, but after you see these photos, you tell me. The first one is going to be the Olympic pool where everyone was going since it was the clean one and the second photo is what this whole Google review is about. But kind of resolved it with giving me my money back and leaving, but didn’t really feel too sanitary after getting out of that water. Regret going in.
Very strict rules by the entrance, after that everyone can do whatever they want. I went there yesterday on a super hot day and you can't even bring a small bottle of water, they inspect your bag very thoroughly. I was planning on staying for few hours but that changed after I went for a swim. I saw few ladies wearing cotton t-shirts in the water and one guy cotton ribbed undershirt with regular pants, No Swimsuits!!!! I went to the front to ask about they swimwear policy and I was told it is swimwear only, as it should be. They told me that someone will go and check that out. After 30 min, the same people were still in the pool in their everyday cotton outfit, nobody came to do anything. I packed my bag and after I was leaving, I pass by the second pool and I saw more people wearing cotton shirt. What really upset me is the fact that are sooo strict by the entrance, even one lady with small kid wanted to go to her car go get something for her child and they they didn't let her... told her that once she leave the premise she can't come back! But once you enter, there is no supervision, everyone can do whatever the want. If they change their policy I would gladly come back but for now I will go to a different pool center.
I visited the pool today with my family hoping for a relaxing swim, but our experience was a bit mixed. Unfortunately, the pool itself wasn’t very clean, which made it hard to fully enjoy the visit. The staff on duty didn’t seem particularly welcoming or attentive, which added to the sense of neglect. That said, We did feel safe throughout our time there. The security presence was strong and well-maintained, and I appreciated knowing that safety was being taken seriously—even if other areas fell short. Overall, We’d say this pool has potential but needs some improvement in cleanliness and staff hospitality to make the visit truly enjoyable.
I would say it is relaxing to be on a weekday. First time going in many years. It has changed since I last been. 1st: $20/person is a bit expensive but was willing to deal but then finding out the even kids under 2 pay the same amount. NOT FREE or DISCOUNTED. Therefore, I paid $60 for 3 people just to get in a kiddie pool. 2nd: On top of that there are so many restrictions for guests like no refillable water bottles or snacks for toddlers. Only store bought water bottles or baby food. If you forget anything in your car, you can forget about trying to get it b/c they will not let you out without repaying. 3rd: Pool is not so clean by I figured that the kids go from the grass to the water constantly that it would be the cause so, I was a bit understanding. But due to restrictions on what can be brought in for a toddler I would probably go on an off day where I don't feel like driving too far.
I came here with my 3 year old son and my 1 year old this place is filthy, I understand you’re going to charge for both kids, but they charge me $20 for a one year old baby after we were allowed inside. They told me that I can’t bring my baby food inside or water for their milk. The baby can’t even use the floaty in the pool, and my three year-old wasn’t allowed to use his life vest. When we got in the pool, the water was disgusting. Was full of sand and rocks in the bottom, and the water was cloudy. It was filthy. I would try to avoid going here if I were you.
