Pool and swimming club for adults featuring billiards.
Specific pool temperature information for Fairview Swim Club is not readily available online. As an outdoor summer facility, the pool temperatures are primarily influenced by ambient weather conditions and sun exposure, rather than being consistently heated to a fixed temperature.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility received mixed reviews, with some aspects praised while others drew significant criticism. Positives included clean pools, restrooms, and common areas, a family-friendly atmosphere with a game room, ample seating, and generally good and affordable food, with specific praise for cookies and fries. Workers were also noted as excellent in one review. However, major drawbacks included an unheated pool, additional costs for recliners/umbrellas, and restrictive seating policies for non-members. Food, particularly burgers, was criticized for being of poor quality. There were also issues with inconsistent payment methods (credit cards advertised but not always accepted), and a lack of maintenance on the pool, locker rooms, and bathrooms despite price increases. One review ultimately states the facility closed, which was seen as a positive for the surrounding neighborhood due to improved cleanliness, quiet, and parking.
Reviews
Unheated, sizable swimming pool, surrounded by many pool recliners and sun umbrellas (both for rent, ~$15 per day). Admittance exclusively upon invitation by Fairview shareholders, if one is not himself a shareholder. Game-room inside for children (billiards, cards and board games). Locker room and showers, which are clean. Distant from public buses (a walk of around eight minutes), but easily accessible by car from the nearby highway.
The pools, restrooms and the areas are clean also there are many chairs. Nice place to stay with kids.
The burgers were not fresh, they were disgustingly thin and dry. They looked like they were recooked multiple times and I asked for it medium. They told me "they cook all their burgers medium" yet it was cooked to a crisp. Absolutely disgusting. The only thing that was good was the chocolate chip cookies and the fries were amazing.
Pool was ok the only problem was that the kids pool was closed. Admission adults $25 kids $10.. food was good and affordable and the workers where excellent only problem I had was every time I'd take my bag or try to sit closer to the pool they kept saying guests where only aloud to sit or place there things far from the pool only people with yearly memberships could sit in front of the pool side. So we really where not able to really see (Are stuff) kinda unfair & stupid. I think for the amount of money I spent which was close to $70 bucks with admission+food I should be able to place my things anywhere I want. Other then that it's not bad. Oh and one more thing that really topped it off is if you call the number it says clearly that they accept any major credit cards so i didn't bring cash and they didn't have an atm no where near so they did me the favor as in charging my card and giving me the cash. Cause i explained to them that before i came i called to see about there rules & regulations and it Cleary stated they accepted any major credit cards.
This pool was closed. They kept hiking up the prices and not fixing the pool or the locker rooms, bathrooms where poorly kept. How could you ask for more money and not give customers a better service? I'm glad they closed because now the surrounding area is cleaner, quiter, parking for neighborhood residents is now available.
