What are people saying (AI review summary)? The John B Davis pool is largely praised as a family-friendly destination, with many visitors highlighting its attentive and frequently rotating lifeguards, clean bathrooms and changing rooms, and a well-regarded food court. The facility offers multiple pools, including a kiddie pool, a regular pool, and a diving pool with a slide, along with amenities like picnic tables. Staff are generally described as great and welcoming, with some families having a long history with the pool and highly recommending it. Suggestions for improvement include incorporating adult swim times and potentially limiting babies in diapers to the kiddie pool for hygiene and space, as well as clarifying rules around personal flotation devices like arm floaties. A significant point of contention arose from a vaping incident, with one review alleging aggressive and unreasonable management behavior leading to an unfair ban, claiming a lack of awareness of rules. Conversely, a response, likely from management, asserts that the individuals were vaping marijuana near children, were dismissive of staff, and were banned for failing to follow clearly posted rules and policies in a family environment.

My family and I were invited to a pool party at John B Davis pool and for the most part my family thoroughly enjoyed our time there. My kids stayed in the three foot area and it was good seeing lifeguards covering every section and that they also seemed to be rotating in and out frequently as to not get tired I guess. I would want to come back and I'm glad we came. If I had one comment it would be as to why the kids couldn't bring arm floating but noodles and vests were acceptable.
The best pool in the entire tri-state area! The kind lady at the front desk let us in with a one-day pass, and it was worth every penny. I did miss having an adult swim time, but it wasn’t too crowded. It would be great if babies in diapers were limited to the kiddie pool—just saying, it’s safer for everyone and gives adults more space to swim freely. Other than that, everything was great! The bathrooms and changing rooms (with showers) were clean, and the food court had warm meals available for purchase. My kids actually grew up here—they learned to swim at this very pool. We came back 24 years later to show them where it all began. Highly recommended by our family to yours!
We were vaping at a spot away from children. We were not made aware about the rules of smoking, only not to dive, and they knew we were new to the place. Some kind of manager went up to us, and said to put away the vape which we did right away, but then the man insisted on getting close to us and getting aggressive saying that did you not read the sign and we said that we were not made aware of any sign as we walk in we see signs but none of them have said anything about smoking. The man got aggressive and said not to dismiss him even though we put the vape away as he asked, he just wanted to start a fight, and even the family said that he was acting aggressive, and they saw how we put it away. Long story short be careful with a middle-aged old guy with some muscles trying to prove how tuff he is in front of children. horrible management and did not want to hear our side when everybody clearly said we’ve done nothing wrong and that we put the vape away right away. unacceptable behavior. we were banned just for defending ourselves and not listening to what Mr. President wanted to keep bothering us
This “middle-aged guy with muscles” could hardly even get a word out get a word out after seeing you hitting your marijuana vapes right next to other pool members and guests with children. You’re upset because I didn’t accept you dismissing me and cutting me off every time I began to speak to you. So now you have to find a new pool to use.. You guys should be upset with yourselves, not me. You guys had kids right to the side of where you were laying vaping your marijuana vapes. We have signs and a designated smoking section outside the gate that you have to walk past upon entering the pool, so you can’t say you had no idea. You’re upset and insulted because I’m not a guy that’s going to be dismissed and cut off every time I try to speak. Don’t be upset with me because you guys can’t follow rules and now need to find a new place to hang out. Sorry, this is a family atmosphere and we enforce rules for safety. Good luck to you guys,.
This is my happy place. First thing I did when we moved here the end of May was apply for membership. The whole staff is great and so welcoming. There are three pools; one kiddie, one regular and one for diving and a slide. They have picnic tables, you can bring your own food or there's a concession stand from Bob-O's Cheesesteaks.
